Everything about the cottage, its outlook and garden was excellent. We did find the parking with 2 fairly large cars rather tight and chose to park just outside the gate, which was doable. The cottage is very well located for walks and sites in the area.

Our second holiday here and as before we found the cottage very clean and well presented, the grounds and views are amazing , The back lawn was very weedy last year with quite a few thistles which i had to dig out as didn't want my small dog getting them between her paws , this year was a vast improvement , still a few weeds but not thistles,The inside of the cottage while perfectly adequate could do with a few upgrades , we stayed on 20th June for the week which turned out to be the hottest week of the year, thankfully the bedrooms stayed relatively cool due to been shaded by the trees but we did keep the doors closed and curtains closed, the living room did get very warm and ending up with us going out and buying two fans , The views and location make up by far any small negatives such as no fans and with us ending up cleaning some windows especially the conservatory {personal choice } there are many comments about the heating at this cottage in the review book regarding the radiators , the ones in the bedrooms are locked at 18c as most of the others , despite the hot weather that started after arrival the first night was quite chilly but none of these radiators came on , one in the hallway and one by conservatory area of living room are workable, there is a log burner but had very little kindling and just 3 small logs left for us was very disappointing if we had wanted to light the fire ,Overall it is a lovely place to stay but been pensioners we do like to stay somewhere were we wouldn't have to worry about it been warm , oddly there are more comments about the radiators in spring summers months but not so many in the autumn winter , maybe temps are set differently for the colder times of the year, if it weren't for the radiator issues we would give this cottage a good 9 , but its a Very good 8
