Guests say

Pencraig is a well-received holiday cottage in Colwyn Bay, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and prime location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the warm, comfortable environment and the property's suitability for family stays. While some maintenance issues are noted, particularly with the en-suite shower, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is generally found to be clean upon arrival, with only minor cleaning oversights mentioned. The majority of guests were satisfied with the level of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and restaurants, as well as being a convenient base for exploring nearby towns. Some noise from the A55 and railway is noted, but does not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback on location.

Guests find the house warm, spacious, and comfortable, with ample room for families and a homely feel. Some issues with squeaky floorboards and a boiler in the master bedroom are mentioned, but overall comfort is rated highly.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, several reviews mention maintenance issues such as a leaking en-suite shower and problems with the Wi-Fi and TV setup, which impacts the score in this category.

Guests appreciated the provision of biscuits, tea, and coffee, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it is politely noted that such amenities are a delightful bonus and not guaranteed with every stay.

This property sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, making it the ideal setting for a family gathering in North Wales. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac, Pencraig welcomes you with off-road parking for three cars; after parking up step over the threshold into a large, bright hallway, leave your coat and shoes here, before unwinding in the sitting room. For a day out that the whole family will love, learn about rare and exotic animals such as red pandas, tigers and snow leopards at Welsh mountain zoo, and animal lovers should also head to SeaQuarium Rhyl to experience 30 exhibits and an outdoor cove for seals. You could also spend the day in Conwy and indulge in ice cream while walking the historic Conwy Town Walls and visiting the famous Conwy Castle, where you can also see the smallest house in Great Britain, which is 1.8 metres wide and dates back to the 16th century. Snowdonia National Park is just a short scenic drive away from Pencraig, and is bursting with walks and trails where you can experience the panoramic views of the Welsh coast and countryside. Make Pencraig your home-away-from-home for a memorable trip to North Wales.

Rhos-on-Sea, a charming seaside town in North Wales, is a popular tourist destination. It is the ideal location for a peaceful getaway thanks to its beautiful harbour and laid-back atmosphere. The house is large, warm, spacious and comfortable with 3 toilets! It is clean and modern with a lovely large living room with comfortable sofas and armchairs. The separate dinning room over looks the garden. The nearness of the town and surrounding towns with fabulous wide and long stretches of sandy beaches was ideal. We will definitely return.

We had a couple of issues while staying there . Problem setting tv up in main bedroom couldn't understand why that had to be done , why not just switch on and go . Had to get caretaker to come and set it up for us which we did appreciated . Then water leaking in light in kitchen from main bedroom ensuite shower , which apparently had happened before . Needless to say we did have a good holiday .
