Guests say

Pine Lodge in Colwyn Bay offers a spacious and comfortable stay with stunning views and a well-received hot tub. Guests appreciate the property's location for local walks and exploring North Wales. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain kitchen utensils were noted, the quick response from the owners and the overall experience were positive. The welcome pack was a delightful touch, although such gifts are not guaranteed.

The property was generally found to be clean and tidy upon arrival, with only a few isolated comments about cleanliness issues such as a mouldy washing machine seal. The majority of guests did not raise cleanliness as a concern.

The location is highly praised for its excellent views, proximity to local attractions like the Welsh Mountain Zoo, and its suitability for exploring North Wales. The convenience of local amenities and the beach adds to the appeal.

Guests found the bedding comfortable and the property spacious, with a particularly comfortable super king bed mentioned. Some guests noted issues with sound travel and a lack of entertainment options for rainy days.

The property boasts a new kitchen, hot tub, and outdoor space. However, guests reported a lack of kitchen equipment, such as saucepans and a masher, and some maintenance issues like non-working light bulbs and blocked drains. Entertainment facilities were also lacking for some guests.

The owners were commended for their responsiveness and the welcome pack, which was mentioned in several reviews. However, as gifts like welcome packs are not guaranteed, this score reflects the positive mentions without setting an expectation.

We arrived just after 3pm and entered a freezing cold house. With guests arriving you would expect the property to be at least heated. After the heating had been on for 40 minutes we realised there was no heating upstairs at all. No hot water either. We contact the owners who said they would come out. They arrived at the property at about 8.45pm. The radiators upstairs needed bleeding which should have been checked before arrival. Lamps in one of the bedrooms didn't work and plug sockets in the downstairs left bedroom needs some attention. Hot tub, by Wednesday we couldn't use it? Water smelt stale/stagnant? We have used hot tubs on previous holidays and none have ever smelt like this. We did contact the owner who put us in touch with the hot tub person. He said it was over used? We used it 4 times? Nothing was done regarding the hot tub. We pay the extra cost to be able to come back after a day out to relax in the hot tub so this was very disappointing to be without it for the rest of our stay. Basic items missing, hand soap in bathrooms? Dustpan and a hand brush? Normal drinking glasses? All plastic apart from the small tumblers? The small bedroom with 2 single beds one of the mattresses has some stains on and some wires? Led lights around the bed frame just hanging off? Outside the back door some of the window sills are broken and jagged. The location is great to walk into Colwyn bay, I guess as the property is up for sale the owners are not really interested now to keep it up to a better standard for paying guests.

We were 5 adults, 2 children and an infant and there was plenty of room for us all. The house was clean and had everything needed to cook a dinner. Hot tub was great and the views from the house were absolutely amazing. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact prior to and during our stay. They left a welcome hamper which was so nice and put the heating on for our arrival. Thank you so much and we will surely be back in the future!
