Guests say

Pen Y Bont Ucha is a well-maintained, homely cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, secure garden, and attentive hosts. While some mention low ceilings and a quirky en-suite, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many looking forward to returning.

The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and comfortable. There are minor mentions of dust and a dishwasher filter, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The location is appreciated for its peace and proximity to local attractions. Some guests find the nearby lanes challenging, and there are comments about a neighbouring property's garden, but the quiet setting and accessibility to nearby towns are well-liked.

Comfort is highlighted with comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, there are remarks about low ceilings and soft sofas, which may not suit everyone's preferences, particularly taller individuals or those with back issues.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Some guests suggest improvements in recycling instructions and seating comfort. The presence of a generator and issues with Wi-Fi are noted, but do not seem to be deal-breakers.

While some guests mention a welcome gift, others note the absence of a welcome pack. As gifts are not consistently referenced, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that while some guests received tokens of appreciation, such gestures are not guaranteed.

The cottage is lovely inside with plenty of space I especially loved the toilet and sink in the little alcove in the main bedroom it was really quirky it reminded me of a hobbit home just had to remember to duck going in there .

The cottage itself is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and was plenty big enough for 4 adults and a baby. The parking area is great and not something you usually get with an old cottage. We spent all our time in the open plan kitchen/diner/living area so we could all be together. Comfortable beds, modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen, reliable hot water and heating, lovely secure garden and a very sweet welcome gift all contributed to a perfect stay.

Layout rather restricted for 4 adults if the weather had not been nice, but as it was the outdoor area was very satisfactory. Post booking communication was not great as getting in touch to change group size was very difficult as booked through VRBO.
