Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Dunes for its stunning cleanliness, superb location by the sea, and exceptional comfort. The property boasts high-quality furnishings, breathtaking views, and a well-equipped kitchen. The addition of a hot tub and secure garden adds to the enjoyment. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviewers are unanimous in their appreciation of the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'stunningly clean' and 'immaculately clean', which indicates a very high standard of hygiene maintained at the property.

The location receives high praise for its proximity to the beach, local amenities, and attractions, with guests appreciating the convenience and the beautiful views, making it an ideal base for exploring or relaxing.

The comfort of The Dunes is highlighted by guests, who mention 'super comfy' beds and high-quality bedding and towels. The spaciousness and comfort of the living areas contribute to a restful stay.

Facilities are generally celebrated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and hot tub. However, points are deducted for reported issues with hot water, a leaky tap, and a noisy heating pump, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts and provisions for dogs. While these gestures enhance the experience, it is politely noted that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

The Dunes welcomes guests with off-road parking and sea views, and rests in the bustling seaside town of Llandudno, making it the ideal base for a family or a group of friends looking to explore the coast of Conwy. Park off-road, where there is also use of a garage and EV charging point, before entering into the property to make yourself at home. Upon entry, discover a kitchen/utility space with ample amenities, tucked away into the ground floor, as well as a shower room with contemporary styling and a bedroom with a sitting area and access to the rear garden. Throw open the patio doors and allow the seaside air in, or head out into the enclosed garden to enjoy a soak in the hot tub or a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine as your four-legged companions recline on the grass beside you. Travelling to the first floor, you will find a light and airy open-plan living space, an opulent space for guests to socialise and enjoy a hearty meal, cooked up in the amply-fitted kitchen, where care has been taken to create a contemporary space with stylish furniture. Recline in the sitting area beside the gas fire and reflect on your day or enjoy a morning coffee on the balcony with a view across the beach and to the ocean beyond; also, on this floor there is a handy cloakroom. Follow the oak staircase to the second floor, where you will find four bedrooms, including a twin, a king-size with fitted wardrobes, a second king-size with a Juliette balcony and exposed beams, and a lovely master bedroom with a handy en-suite and the added opulence of sliding doors, opening onto a balcony with wonderful sea views, a simply delightful space to relax. Llandudno is a fantastic base for your North Wales adventure, with many local amenities and attractions to be enjoyed. There is a great selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes, and local convenience stores for all of your holiday essentials, with options including West Shore Beach Café, The Lilly, The Albert and Candles. The town also offers a fantastic beach within a short reach of the property, ideal for walks along the shore in the salty air and paddling amongst the waves. Walk along the well-known Llandudno Pier, visit the local nature reserve, take a hike up the Great Orme, or even try out an adventure-filled afternoon at the Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre. There are many fantastic places to visit close to the property, including Conwy with its amazing castle and RSPB reserve, Anglesey where there are many stunning beaches, and the Welsh Mountain Zoo. The property is also within reach of the stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, where there are ample opportunities to hike, mountain bike, wild swim, try out watersports and visit Zip World for climbing and more. There is so much to do with a captivating stay at The Dunes.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!

Kitchen \ living area is lovely (Quooker tap with instant boiling water is great), balconies provide amazing views and the hot tub was enjoyed more than once. The bedrooms are really nice with 3 huge walk in showers plus an awesome bath in total. Ground floor has lots of space and utility room with washer \ drier was very handy with little ones. The location couldn't be better with beach and playground just outside the door, pub next door but one and a One Stop shop 30s walk away outside the back gate. Easy walk to the busy side with the pier and shops\amusements. All the takeaways you could wish for available for delivery and large retail parks with all the big shops. Flat and easy to navigate area with optional hills if you desire. We drove up Great Orme a couple of times to take in the stunning views and I walked up Little Orme to bag the trig there and take photo's back toward Great Orme. Also had a lovely day-trip to Barmouth, driving right through the middle of the national park. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I'd love to return one day.
