A further living space at the rear overlooks the garden and benefits from bi-fold doors out to the patio area, perfect for enjoying summer evenings. This living room doubles over as a delightful cinema room, with 100“electric projector screen for the ultimate cinematic experience. The integral garage includes a designated workspace, Smart TV exercise bike and cushioned flooring with yoga mats, and there is also a ground floor toilet and utility room. On the first floor there are four bedrooms. A master bedroom with a new super kingsize Tempur bed with Tempur pillows and en-suite shower room, two further double bedrooms, a fourth bedroom with a double bed with single bunk over, and a family bathroom.

Ogmore-by-Sea is only 10 minute drive and seaside town of Porthcawl is only 12 minutes. For a day out, Cowbridge is a local market town with a boutique high street and array of independent restaurants and bars, or Penarth is a bustling seaside town worth visiting. For exploring further afield, Chestnut House is ideally situated with great access to the M4 motorway and in under 90 minutes you could drive to the Brecon Beacons for breath-taking mountain views, hills to hike and waterfall walks to enjoy. We attended in the may half term. Property was clean and tidy and had sufficient room for a family of four and a family of three. It had everything we needed for our stay (except for air conditioning, as the week we went was extremely hot and sunny!)There was a cinema area for the children to watch their programmes and another area for the adults to relax, as well as decent outside seating space. There are amenities close by as well as a local pub!There are plenty of things to do, including castles, beaches, waterfalls and caves to explore.Communication between the owner was good too, and was on hand to answer any queries or concerns we had.Yes this property is not situated in the Welsh countryside, but it is a fantastic base, where you are within reasonable distance of many attractions (within an hour)All in all we had a great time, and it is somewhere I would definitely consider staying again as well as recommending to friends and family.

Cottage Bridgend was a comfortable and an immaculate home. The movie room is a great addition and fantastic facility, and provides one more attraction for an evening snd time to relax . Great experience, were refreshed and planning to go again. Cottage is rated top Host by all 4 of us who experienced a comfortable stay and exceptional comfort..
