  Ty Ffarm has the WOW factor as far as our family are concerned.

  It ticked all the boxes when we booked it for a family holiday to celebrate our Daughters 50th birthday this year. The family consisted of 2 Seniors(my husband and I) our Daughter( 50 this year) her 2 grown Daughters and partners and 3 young children. The reason we booked was because looking at the photos we thought it would cater for all the 4 generations. It certainly did this and more. The photos although good did not capture the true ambience of the home. The farmhouse has been very lovingly renovated to a high standard and everything has been considered, even indoor games for grown ups and kids. The rooms are all decorated and soft furnished to perfection. The kitchen diner has everything you could need. The outside terrace has a hot tub, firepit, seating and table for outside dining, the children are also catered for with trampoline and games and even a small table and deck chairs. The location is exactly what we wanted with wonderful views and peace and quiet for a restful stay. There is a Sainsburys a few minutes drive away and access to major roads for days out nearby but once on the terrace we never heard a car, just bliss. We also ordered an Indian take away delivered to the farmhouse which was delicious especially as we ate outside. Would definitely go back and we all would recommend for a getaway from it all holiday.

  I booked this property as a surprise for my mum's 50th birthday this weekend.

  What a fantastic property! Set in a peaceful hillside location with amazing views. 9 of us stayed at this property and it more than accommodated us. The property itself has been loving and beautifully renovated. It is equipped with everything you need and is truly a home from home. The dinning kitchen has everything from bin bags to tea towels. A cold storeroom with fridge freezer washer/dryer iron and ironing board. 3 bathrooms inside and a lovely outside toilet room. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and even have colour co ordinating towels. The outside area has a hot tub, (towels provided) bbq patio with dinning table and a lawn (artificial grass) with a trampoline and plenty of room for children to play.Outdoor and indoor games to keep them entertained along with dvds and books. The owners are wonderful and very helpful and also left us cupcakes, muffins and bubbly. It’s a good base to visit many sights around South Wales, castles, caves,walking, trail running and even treetop mini golf! We can not recommend this property enough and most certainly will be returning. In fact we have already booked again for my 30th next year.

  Recently back from an amazing Christmas weekend at Ty Ffarm.

  I can not recommended this stunning property enough!! Every single room is decorated beautifully & the women especially appreciated the matching decor in every room. As well as this the whole house is immaculate. We were a party of 6 adults & 4 kids & found there was plenty of space for us all & the size of the house is a definite bonus when you have noisy kiddies. The kitchen is so well equipped we even managed to comfortably cook roast dinner for us all!! That roll top bath & amazing shower was a huge added bonus too.   The wonderful & kind owners have thought of EVERYTHING. From the many towels & beautifully fresh bedding, games in every room, torches in the drawers, lanterns for the garden to the little treats left for us on arrival. The open fires kept the house super cosy & the Christmas decorations were a beautiful touch. The hot tub was amazing & the kids loved the trampoline & garden games in which they stayed clean, even in the rain, due to the very much appreciated astro turf. You should absolutely book here, you will not be disappointed :)

  We had a wonderful time, and I hope that we will be able to stay again.

  Gellilwch was so close to Cardiff, and yet it was so peaceful it was like a different world! It was exactly what we needed. On a note of caution, the drive to get to it is single track and steep in places - but it's worth it when you get there. The house is absolutely lovely. It's a wonderful mix of history and modern facilities. We loved the way each room has been decorated with its own beautiful character, and the adults and teens in our group really appreciated the WiFi. The whole house is really well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed, there were indoor and outdoor toys for the children, and there were plenty of towels, including hot tub towels and a hand towel for each sink. I was a bit concerned before we went, that we were warned about some areas outside to avoid. But the house and garden are enclosed so it was no problem. If you had very young children you would have to watch them in the parking area, that's all. The owners of the house were lovely, and responded quickly and helpfully whenever we contacted them.   Lovely cottage, pretty rooms, lovely views and we were very comfortable.

  There was a wood burner which will be really nice in winter but we did not need to use it - it was very cosy. The dining area was spacious and nice. There are some beautiful walks nearby, including a walk through the valley to Port Talbot and the nearby Afan Forest country park. We also enjoyed the South Wales Miner's museum, which was very interesting. The Bethel Chapel cafe is great (open at weekends) and the Teapot a short drive away. Mumbles lovely for a day out. As feedback we could have used a few more kitchen things - a teapot and cafetiere coffee pot would be useful, as the space is perfect for large groups. A bread knife, and knife sharpener would be nice to have and the cutlery wasn't great for e.g. cutting a steak. Also just to note, the utensils are metal and there are a number of lovely new non stick pans, which will get scratched by metal, so some wooden or silicone ones might be good! These are just small things though and we generally really enjoyed cooking and eating at the cottage.
