The location is frequently described as excellent, with easy access to beaches, local pubs, and attractions in North Wales, contributing to a high score.
Comfort is a strong point for Awel-y-Mor, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the house spacious, providing a relaxing stay.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, some minor maintenance issues like the non-working woodburner and overgrown garden slightly lower the score.

The county town of Gwynedd, Caernarfon, is a significant cultural and historical centre in North Wales. The town's 13th-century castle, town walls, and waterfront are all major draws for visitors. Castle tours and seasonal events like historical pageants are offered during the season. The Welsh Highland Railway, which travels through beautiful countryside, the town of Beddgelert, and on to Porthmadog, also stops here. From the harbour, you may embark on a fishing excursion, and within walking distance of the downtown area is Segontium, a Roman fort turned museum with a wealth of artefacts. Caernarfon is home to a plethora of restaurants and stores, and it's conveniently located near the beautiful beaches of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia and the famous climbing mecca of Llanberis at the base of Snowdon.

Plenty of parking space and the bus stops right outside. Good location for visiting Caernarfon and Llyn Peninsula. In a quiet location within walking distance of coast. Assume the listed cloakroom/wc was behind a locked door- this would have been useful. As noted in previous reviews kitchen cleaning cloths should be provided and the garden could benefit from some attention.

The bed in the master room was super comfy. When we had an issue and contacted Deborah she was really helpful. A minor niggle was the lack of loungers for the back garden . As the weather was nice we could not really relax at the back .The neighbours were friendly and helpful. The cottage was quite central to beaches , walks and shops. We had a great time , had great weather and would highly recommend the cottage to friends and family.

Comfy beds, nice towels and linen. Excellent kitchen as we like to cook. Overall really good location to explore North Wales. Local beach isnât worth the c1 mile walk from the house as the very narrow lanes are pretty busy with cars. Shame the pub is closed for so long for renovation so no where nearby to eat. Looks like it will reopen in 2025 sometime. Found the charming little âhonesty shopâ in the painted shed in the pub grounds, after chatting to a local. Bread, milk and other essentials in stock! Great farm shop for quality meat and bits of veg etc in the car park at Indigo Jones Slate Mine about 5 mins drive away. Overall really great holiday home base with great facilities, would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for a base to drive to explore from!
