Was good for what we needed it for and the children really enjoyed the hot tub. Necesary amenities available. Fast communication and staff responsible for the care of the lodge were very helpful. I do feel that the lodge could have been a little cleaner, but would recommend. Was great that we could also bring the dog.

We’ve visited Caernarfon many times but never stayed in the town before. We had a few gripes with the accommodation, some of which are easy fixes, some which are location based and can’t be helped and some which just weren’t to our personal preference. Easy Fixes - the settee was very uncomfortable and should be replaced- the kitchen does not flow at all; e.g. you had to get the kettle, walk around the table to fill it at the sink, walk back round the table to turn it on, return to the sink side to get a mug and then walk around the table a final time to make your brew. Once it was made, you need to get the milk out of the fridge’s salad tray because even a 1 pint plastic bottle of milk, can’t fit in the door shelf. The owner needs to spend a day or two living there to appreciate it. - there were different hot tub instructions in the pamphlet outside and the welcome pack. - the pans barely work on the induction hob. LocationIt is on the top side of town, close to the court building and to walk into town you need to walk through an estate and then go in and underpass that had vomit and drug paraphernalia in it - we only went once!Personal PreferenceWe would have preferred it to have been a little larger. The lodge was very cleverly designed and there was a lot of storage but it just felt very small. The quality of the build, patio door, kitchen, flooring, hot tub etc was amazing! We did have a great holiday and hope that these comments help the owners make it more comfortable for future guests.

Menai Lodge was the perfect location for us to explore North Wales. A short walk to the centre of Caernarfon and Caernarfon Castle; 15 minutes drive to Snowdon Mountain Railway; and 30 minutes drive to Beaumaris on Anglesey - everything we needed in the lodge and a fantastic hot tub to spend our evenings star gazing from!
