This detached, single-storey stone barn conversion, adjacent to the owner’s house, has shared use of the delightful 1-acre garden and is situated just a mile from the glorious sandy beach and excellent choice of cafes and restaurants in Criccieth. This is an excellent location for exploring the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, with its coastal footpath and winding country lanes that walkers, cyclists and bird watchers love. Situated on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, Criccieth Castle is well worth a visit, as are the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways in nearby Porthmadog. Not far away are the stunning mountains of Snowdonia. Golf and horse riding nearby. Shop and pub 1 mile.

The cottage was very well appointed, especially in the kitchen. Everything was clean and well positioned. Biscuits and milk were provided, nice touch. The cottage was set within the owner's very large garden which we were welcome to use. Lockable space for bike storage. Plenty of brochures showing the touristy things to do in the area. The cottage was 1 mile North of Criccieth with access to the Wales coastal path. Larger Porthmadog was just a few miles down the road. We shall definitely return to Gell Cottage in the future.

Great location for exploring the area. Stunning cottage in a lovely setting. Immaculate throughout. Everything you could possibly need,so well equipped. Warm and cosy which was very welcoming as it was November.. The goodies and flowers on arrival were a lovely gesture.
