Pen Y Garth is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its spaciousness, stunning views, and well-equipped facilities. The large garden is a hit with children and pets, and the location offers easy access to beaches and local amenities. Some minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance were noted, but overall, guests recommend the property for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, though there were isolated reports of dust and dog hairs. The majority of reviews did not raise cleanliness as an issue, suggesting a generally high standard.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions, beaches, and amenities. It is considered an excellent base for exploring the Welsh coast.
Guests frequently mention the comfortable beds and spacious living areas. However, one review noted an uncomfortable mattress, slightly lowering the score. Overall, the property is regarded as comfortable.
The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, ample space, and a secure garden. Some guests experienced issues with heating and rubbish collection, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
While many reviews commend the property's amenities and equipment, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owners. Therefore, this score cannot be assessed.

It was lovely to stay in such a well equipped and maintained property. It is well located to explore all of the Llyn Peninsula and the lovely seaside village of Abersoch with it's restaurants, cafes, shops and amazing beach is just a short drive away. The amazing art gallery, cafes and beach at Llanbedrog are even closer. The house is very spacious and the views of Abersoch Bay and Porth Neigwl from the house were amazing! We very much enjoyed our stay at Pen Y Garth and would recommend it for both families and more mature couples too.

The listing says sleeps 8 and it really does that very comfortably. All the bedrooms, two of which have their own shower/bathrooms, are of a good size and with the main lounge and separate garden room seating alongside the dining area, there's plenty of space to relax. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Once again, we were blessed with great weather but it can get a bit breezy even on the best of days but that's maybe the price to pay for the fantastic views from the garden and especially the large master bedroom balcony. The dogs love the place too, with the large enclosed lawned garden there's plenty of space to run around or just chill after a hectic day on the beach. From previous recent reviews, there seems to have been some issues with the bins. The owner informed us this had been a waste contractor issue and has now been sorted and indeed the bins were emptied as expected. We can't recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning next year.
