Gwynt y Môr is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location within walking distance to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the peaceful environment. The property is described as ideal for both short and extended stays, with a special mention of a generous welcome pack provided by the owners.
Reviewers unanimously commend the property for its exceptional cleanliness, noting it as 'spotless' and 'top notch'. This consistent feedback indicates a very high standard of cleanliness.
The property's location is highly regarded, being close to the beach, local shops, and the railway station. Its convenience for exploring mid/North Wales and the ability to enjoy the area without a car contribute to a high score.
Guests find the bungalow comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and sofas. The presence of a sun lounger and a peaceful courtyard add to the overall comfort of the stay.
The property is well-equipped for guests' needs, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample space for families. However, a single mention of difficulty with conservatory windows and doors suggests a slight deduction for maintenance issues.
The owners' thoughtfulness is highlighted by mentions of a generous welcome pack and attention to detail. While such gifts are greatly appreciated, it is noted that they are a kind gesture and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

This terraced holiday property has a lovely living room and well-equipped kitchen in which to prepare the tastiest of meals, plus a sheltered rear courtyard. It is only a couple of minutes’ walk to the promenade which fronts the sandy beach, so don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade! The views from the promenade are stunning as the evening sun sinks into the sea on the horizon. On the promenade you will find a putting green and crazy golf course, as well as a café and children’s playground.
In the town of Tywyn, again a short walk, there are two supermarkets and a good range of individual shops, as well as a swimming pool and a lovely independent cinema showing the latest film releases. Tywyn is home of the Talyllyn Railway, the first railway in the world to be run by volunteers. Nowadays, the beautifully restored steam trains take you on a magical journey along the Fathew Valley to the waterfalls at Dolgoch and Nant Gwernol. There is also a fascinating museum and tearoom on the station at Tywyn. No visit to Tywyn could be complete without a visit to the honey ice cream shop – a tasty treat whatever the weather!
This is ideal walking country. Explore craggy Bird Rock and see the nesting cormorants or explore the ruined castle of Castell y Bere. From Gwynt y Môr it’s only 4 miles to the pretty village of Aberdyfi, the brightly painted houses of which seem to cling to the shoreline! Here you will find some friendly seaside pubs and restaurants, and a favourite pastime for children is to try crabbing off the jetty. To the north is the village of Llwyngwril, famous for its annual Yarnbombing Festival, and Barmouth, start of the Mawddach Trail walk and cyclepath, which passes over Barmouth Bridge and follows the trackbed of the old railway line along the Mawddach Estuary 9 miles to Dolgellau. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
