Guests say

Guests have praised the holiday rental for its cleanliness, comfort, and proximity to the beach. The property is well-equipped and dog-friendly, with a secure garden and thoughtful touches like spare towels. While most experiences were positive, there were isolated issues with hot water and a key safe, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the norm.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being spotless and well-maintained. Only one review cited a maintenance issue, which does not seem to be related to cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and local amenities. It serves as a great base for exploring South Wales. The only minor drawback mentioned was difficulty in accessing the property due to a key safe issue.

Comfort is frequently highlighted, with guests appreciating the quality of the beds, linen, and furnishings. There is a single mention of an issue with shower availability, but overall, comfort levels are rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, there was a significant issue with hot water for one guest, and a suggestion for more child-friendly cutlery, which slightly lowers the score.

The property owner's thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of dog paraphernalia and beach towels. While welcome gifts like Welsh cakes were not consistently provided, the attention to detail is appreciated. It should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

It’s had everything you would need for a perfect stay. Kath the owner was absolute star in suggesting we should stay for an extra night due to the Red government warning happening on our last night and preventing us travelling home due to the extreme weather conditions and the closure of the Severn Bridges. The neighbours that we talked to were so friendly and we would love to return next year. We had great days out in Swansea, Porthcawl, Bridgend, Maesteg and wonderful walks along the beach in Port Talbot itself.

The property was ideally situated for the beach and the local area, the facilities were excellent, well equipped and we would be happy to book again. The neighbours were friendly too.

All in all the property was fantastic for a vacation, no negatives, we were a little concerned as pre warned about the neighbours dog , but there were no issues what so ever (thankfully) the place was very well equipped but i would recommend easier to handle knives and forks especially for children , for us the location was perfect for the beach as we and dogs love to walk the coast line so thank-you to kath and to sykes
