Guests say

Snowdrop Cottage in Fishguard is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its beautiful location, comfort, and cleanliness. Guests have enjoyed the picturesque harbour, local walks, and the cottage's cosy atmosphere, especially during Christmas. While there were minor issues with broadband and cleanliness outside, these were addressed, and guests were compensated. The property is a recommended base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

The cottage is generally described as clean and well-presented. However, one incident of mice and an unclean outdoor table slightly affected the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the harbour, town centre, and coastal footpaths, making it an ideal spot for exploring the local area.

Guests found the cottage comfortable and cosy, particularly noting the festive decorations at Christmas and the pleasant interior.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-stocked cottage and a nice patio area. Deductions are made for the initial lack of broadband and smart TV issues, as well as the need for more kitchen storage.

The welcome bottle of wine and Christmas decorations suggest thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

Snowdrop Cottage has been renovated to a very good standard throughout by the current owners retaining its original character and charm. In addition, there are a number of glorious walks right from your doorstep, including along the River Gwaun through the wooded valley, and the coastal path in both directions. There’s an old fort to the north with breath-taking views across the bay, as well as the Marine Walk, which skirts around the Fishguard coast. Inland, you may stumble across the majestic Cenarth Falls, which if you time it right in the autumn, you can see the salmon and sea trout leaping up the falls which really is a magnificent sight. The famous walled town of Tenby makes for a great day out, along with Wales’ largest theme park Oakwood, and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo.

We loved this little cosy cottage! There is everything you need and even more, from the time we walked in, we felt like we are at home.We booked it for Christmas and it was decorated and had two Christmas trees, so we can put a presents for kids. All family and kids said they had best Christmas ever!Lovely location for walks with stunning views, little cafes and shops. We didn’t get to use the outside space as it was very cold outside, but it looks lovely. We would be back definitely to explore more of Fishguard.

The cottage was nicely presented. We received a bottle of wine as a welcome. The harbour is lovely and a good place to relax. We were not advised by the owners before our arrival that the Broadband was not working at the property (which was disappointing) . This also meant the smart TV was not working. This was repaired on the Monday and we received a small partial refund as compensation. There is limited cupboard space for dry food in the kitchen and no bread bin. Unfortunately, we were visited by mice towards the end of our stay and they ate our bread and made a right mess. This prompted a thorough clean down. Outside - the top deck table was not clean and there were a few plants growing through the decking which needed attention. It’s these things that have lowered the overall rating. The parking is tricky but , we managed to park outside the cottage every day. It is a great spot for exploring Pembrokeshire.

Proposition for us walking the coastal path, lovely cottage parking tight but was perfectly fine for the week we were there, highly recommend.
