About this property

Tucked away inbetween the quaint villages of Crundale and Wiston, just 3 miles from Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, is this remarkable middle cottage of 3 barn conversions situated on a working family farm, Meadow View, 2 Fenton Home Farm. Benefitting from a bubbling hot tub for some stargazing, and enjoying vaulted ceilings inside, this pet-friendly home is a superb base for a group of eight. On arrival, be greeted by a spacious driveway where you can leave your car before entering your home-from-home. Discover the contemporary open-plan living space, where you can conjure hearty meals in the kitchen with an electric oven and hob to assist you; afterwards gather at the dining table and pop open a bottle of fizz to celebrate. Unwind on the sofas and admire the warmth of the woodburning stove as you escape into a book or flicker through the TV. Head outside to relax your muscles in the hot tub and as the weather cools, retreat to the ground-floor shower room to rinse off. When eyes grow tired, locate your bedroom, choosing from a ground-floor king-size with an en-suite and a ground-floor twin, or climb upstairs to pick between another two king-sized bedrooms with shared bathroom. Awaken tired eyes with a soak in the tub before joining your guests at the dining table for a steaming cup of coffee. Jump in the car and head into the bustling town of Haverfordwest, where you can tee up at a sprawling golf course, feel inspired at the Welsh Spitfire Museum, or if that's not to your taste, browse gift shops and sample its selection of eateries. Further afield lies The Welsh Owl Garden where you can hear the hoots of the owls, and the 60 acres of Picton Castle Gardens for a picturesque stroll. Visit the colourful town of Narbeth, lined with Edwardian and Georgian buildings, where you can unveil its rich history at Narberth Museum and tour the ruins of a 12th century castle. For a memorable escape to South Wales, getaway to Meadow View, 2 Fenton Home Farm.

The hosts even took us around the farm and the grandchildren enjoyed seeing the animals . Close to the coast so many places to explore .

We felt instantly at home , it was peaceful and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Number 2. The icing on the cake being the hot tub which has left us exploring the possibility for one at home! The property is well situated for a peaceful break but close enough to the amenities and places one would want to visit and explore. On the days weather was pretty rough we opted to stay in and relax watching a film, reading etc in the very comfortable lounge area! The hosts Clare and Stephen were very friendly and helpful. Already thinking of a return visit!

If I had any negatives it would be more privacy for the hot tub. I was chilling in the tub with numerous cars, tractors driving past, quite a few some days, a small piece of fencing would eradicate them seeing you. On checkout rushing to get all the washing up done and put away seems a bit excessive, we all had breakfast in preparation for our long journey, we had to strip beds, clean through, load car etc and clear all the washing up. I’ve never stayed anywhere where we’ve had to do this. We’ve normally loaded dishwasher and put it on, I think while we want to enjoy our holiday we didn’t really need that before we departed.
