Savour a stay at this superb Tenby penthouse that is ideally placed for afternoons spent swimming in the sea and basking on the sand. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom duplex is within 100 metres of the Welsh seaside town’s spectacular South Beach and captures views out across the rooftops towards the sea. Ideal for couples or a small family with older children, it sits on the third floor of the building.
Make your way into the foyer and ascend the stairs to the third floor. Step into your private quarters to find yourselves in an airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Settle in here on the sumptuous soft seating to watch TV or a DVD or to listen to music through the Smart speaker as you chat. Take three steps down to enter the kitchen space and take turns whipping up delicious meals with West Wales produce on those occasions you choose not to make the most of Tenby’s superb selection of eateries. Dine at the table together then carefully make your way up to the stylish mezzanine level, which is not suitable for small children, to read your books and relax in the snug space here. When you are ready to retire for the night, choose between the two inviting double bedrooms, one of which has a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom at the apartment. Although this holiday home has no outside space, South Beach and the dunes behind it are within 100 metres.
Stroll 0.5 miles to climb up to the ruins of Tenby Castle and take in the coastal views. Book a boat trip out to Caldey Island from the harbour, also 0.5 miles away, or have a go at paddleboarding or kayaking from North Beach, just a little further away.
