Guests generally appreciate the Summer House for its peacefulness, secure garden for dogs, and responsive hosts. The property's location is convenient for exploring nearby beaches and Tenby. Comfort and modern amenities are noted, with special mentions of a welcoming garden and hot tub. Some guests received thoughtful touches like Prosecco and biscuits.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the property clean and fresh, while others noted issues with dust, cobwebs, and cleanliness under furniture. The negative comments suggest room for improvement.
The location is praised for being quiet, secure, and close to Tenby and lovely beaches. It's suitable for guests looking to explore South Wales and Pembrokeshire, though some noted it requires driving to reach certain destinations.
Most guests found the property comfortable, with a few suggesting it felt smaller than expected. The presence of a hot tub and garden furniture adds to the comfort, but some guests desired more space for beach gear and dog play.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and luxurious touches. However, some guests encountered issues with the hot tub operation and suggested improvements in garden security for pets.
While many guests mentioned receiving gifts such as Prosecco and biscuits, which added a thoughtful touch to their stay, not all reviews reference such gestures. As gifts are not consistently mentioned, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

This was not what we had expected The house needed a thorough clean microwave had mould growing in it Freezer had half eaten pizza left behind Oven was filthy The hoover hadnât been emptied must of been a years worth in it There was no mention prior to booking of the extra charge for the wood for the hot tub what you were given was for one go Parking restricted to one vehicle We were told to shut the gate at all times which we did only to find the owners left it open as and when they wanted to Towels were old and holes in them I took my own thank god Bath mat was filthy On opening cupboards they hadnât been wiped out On the morning we left after taking out the bin bag from the bin in the kitchen the bottom of the bin had mouldy food left in it The bed linen needed updating and the velux windows needed blinds Would not go again

Struggled to get it going other nights too - owners did not look at the issue just sent a couple of text messages apologising so they were aware there was an issue beforehand. The hot tub looks about 20 years old - scum marks on the inside of it & we not convinced the water had been changed from the previous visitors. Patio doors were broken on arrival; loose taps & no blinds on the sky lights so we got very little sleep as the rooms were too bright as soon as it got to 5am. Made a complaint to Sykes Cottages 10 days ago but they have still not bothered coming back to us. The accommodation was probably very good five years ago but it in need of an upgrade. A very disappointing experience.

The owners were welcoming, always on sight and available for help giving many great places to visit & their Labrador pup was gorgeous. Summerhouse has been very tastefully decorated and presented with some very nice touches even down to fresh roses on the table. The beds and bedding were very comfortable with good quality bedding. If I were to offer any advice to the owners a few more mugs and a bit more cutlery esp teaspoons would be a tiny help esp if the dishwasher isnât going on daily as in our case. The only other other thing which would have been lovely is a bbq as the garden is so nice again with quality cane furniture. Unfortunately as I suspected the hot tub would take forever to warm up, even after 3 hours of log burning it was still not anywhere near heating so we were unable to make use of it which was disappointing. A great place though for a nice chillout and base for exploring the beautiful area.
