The Captains Hideaway has been beautifully furnished in a nautical theme in keeping with its namesake, the open plan kitchen, dining and living room is light and airy with French doors leading out onto the enclosed south facing garden. This is complete with a patio seating and raised lawned area with a barbecue and firepit, ideal for toasting marshmallows around the fire with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing or for your children to play outside. There is a modern style galley kitchen which is perfect for preparing that special meal which leads onto the beautiful living room with focal wood burner. Each bedroom has been designed with comfort a top priority for a great night’s sleep and offers a fantastic level of comfort throughout.
The historic walled town of Tenby, famous for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and Blue Flag beach, is a 10-minute drive away and perfect for your family to enjoy sightseeing. A visit to the coastal resort would not be complete without a memorable boat trip to Caldey Island, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. A short drive will take you to the seaside villages of Saundersfoot, Amroth Manorbier and Freshwater East where you can sun bath, build sandcastles, search rock pools or just relax with a good book. Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventure, Manor House Wildlife Park, Oakwood Theme Park and Dinosaur Park are all within a 15-minute drive and perfect to keep everyone entertained. Beach 5 miles and pub ½ mile.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights last week at The Captains Hideaway. It was perfect for what we needed and exceeded our expectations. The perfect winter get away. The welcome basket was very well received and our little dog Bella loved the extras for her. The area is perfect for exploring the stunning beaches and the local castle was lovely to walk around. We just wished we had booked for longer. We are already looking to book for next year but will definitely do a 7 night stay as it was so wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely property with us.

Had a lovely week at the cottage, the house is well equipped, very clean and tidy, and lots of work has been put in to make it lovely and cosy, the kids loved the nautical theme throughout the house! Carew castle is a short walk away, Tenby and other nice beaches are short drives, location was great. There is parking for 2 cars acros the garage of the house which is adjacent to the property. Great place to explore the beauty of Pembrokeshire!

A lovely home from home, although on a housing estate the house is within easy walking distance of Carew Castle where there is a stunning circular stroll rohnd the castle and mill with a lovely pub and shop on the route. The house is beautifully decorated and has a very well equipped kitchen with an enclosed garden that is a real haven.
