The Captains Hideaway has been beautifully furnished in a nautical theme in keeping with its namesake, the open plan kitchen, dining and living room is light and airy with French doors leading out onto the enclosed south facing garden. This is complete with a patio seating and raised lawned area with a barbecue and firepit, ideal for toasting marshmallows around the fire with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing or for your children to play outside. There is a modern style galley kitchen which is perfect for preparing that special meal which leads onto the beautiful living room with focal wood burner. Each bedroom has been designed with comfort a top priority for a great night’s sleep and offers a fantastic level of comfort throughout.
The historic walled town of Tenby, famous for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and Blue Flag beach, is a 10-minute drive away and perfect for your family to enjoy sightseeing. A visit to the coastal resort would not be complete without a memorable boat trip to Caldey Island, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. A short drive will take you to the seaside villages of Saundersfoot, Amroth Manorbier and Freshwater East where you can sun bath, build sandcastles, search rock pools or just relax with a good book. Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventure, Manor House Wildlife Park and The Dinosaur Park are all within a 15-minute drive and perfect to keep everyone entertained. Beach 5 miles and pub ½ mile.

My dog and I had a lovely stay. My dog was grateful of the welcome gift!The home was well equipped with everything we needed and a lovely secure garden. Arriving and getting into the property was seamless. Bedding was of hotel quality and the towels were good quality too. I was glad of the hairdryer as I had forgotten mine!Bed comfy and the little things like washing up liquid, salt, shower gel, made our stay more enjoyable. These small touches really help on a self catering. We found the area peaceful and a good base to explore the Pembrokeshire coast.

Me, my husband and our 2 children stayed here for a week this august. Excellent location for tenby and saundersfoot only being 10 min drive away. The house is beautifully clean and well presented. Everything worked as it should and there's nothing to complain about. Outside there's a lovely garden with patio area. Ive read a previous review about the neighbours dog.. yes there's a little sausage dog next door but honestly we only heard him once or twice as we walked into the house by their front window. We slept with the window open and never heard him again so dont let that put you off staying here. Lovely accommodation for a holiday. Thank you

I had a very relaxing stay at Captains Hideaway. Due to it's location having a bespoke parking space (or 2 if you have smaller vehicles) was ideal. The location enabled me to go out in different directions each of the days that I stayed.The welcome pack (for humans and dogs) and other 'essentials' in the accommodation was put to good use.The only slight niggle was next doors (very) yappy dog.
