Ty Mair in Tenby is praised for its unbeatable location and spectacular sea views, making it a favourite for returning guests. The property is described as homely and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. While the house’s quirky layout and numerous stairs may not suit everyone, most guests found it charming and relaxing. Some maintenance and cleanliness issues were noted, particularly regarding the sofas and rubbish disposal, but the overall experience remains highly positive, especially for those seeking a memorable seaside stay.
Most guests found the property generally clean and comfortable, but one review highlighted significant cleanliness concerns, including dust, seagull droppings, and an unpleasant smell from rubbish. These issues appear to be exceptions rather than the norm, but they do impact the overall impression.
The location is universally praised, with guests loving the proximity to the beach, harbour, shops, and local amenities. The views from the property are repeatedly described as spectacular and a major highlight of the stay.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the house homely, though several mentioned that the sofas were worn and could use replacing. The stairs may be challenging for some, but most found the property relaxing and well-suited for a family holiday.
The kitchen is well-equipped and the property offers useful amenities, such as a basement toilet and beach toys. However, some maintenance issues were noted, including worn furniture, non-functioning doors, and limited rubbish disposal options.
Guests appreciated thoughtful touches like beach toys in the hall and spare food in the larder, though these are not guaranteed for every stay. The overall atmosphere was described as friendly and welcoming.

Our party of six really enjoyed our week over the New Year period. Our only suggestion apart from replacing the off mentioned sofa in the kitchen, dining, lounge room would be letting the renters have access to the recycling bins or bags because the present system of keeping your rubbish until the end of the week is unsatisfactory. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone.
