The Bailey is a spacious and welcoming cottage, ideal for families and groups seeking a peaceful countryside retreat. Guests consistently praise the friendly hosts, excellent games room, and well-maintained hot tub. The property offers ample space, a well-equipped kitchen, and a beautiful location close to local attractions. While some furnishings are a little tired and WiFi can be weak, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, with only a few isolated incidents (such as a dead bird on arrival) mentioned. The majority of reviews describe the property as clean and comfortable.
The location is frequently highlighted as a major strength, with guests appreciating the peaceful setting, proximity to Brecon and Hay, and easy access to outdoor activities.
Guests generally found the cottage spacious and comfortable, especially for groups. However, some noted that certain beds and furniture could be more comfortable, with a few comments about tired furnishings.
The hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen are standout features, with guests making good use of these amenities. Some minor maintenance issues (e.g., curtain rail, armchair, weak WiFi) were mentioned but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
The hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming, and responsive. While some guests appreciated festive decorations and helpfulness, there is no mention of guaranteed gifts, so guests should not expect these as standard.

Had a cracking stay at the Bailey. The owners were very chilled and just left us to it. Nice hottub. Great fun with the dart board, pool table and piano in the games room. Nice bedrooms and living spaces. Good showers. Plenty of parking. Great location for canoeing from Glasbury or heading into the black mountains. Highly recommend. Think twice if you are afraid of dogs - the owners two (lovely) collies roam free and live to play catch!

The cottage was comfortable and spacious. The photos gave a fair impresion of the space. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The games room and hot tub were enjoyed by our mix age range group. Made for a great few days stay. Thank you.
