This unusual building has been converted into an impressive dwelling, set in glorious countryside on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. With hills made for walking, countryside made for the perfect escape, activities for the adventurous and festivals for unadulterated enjoyment you will be captivated by the area. This marvellous attached barn conversion has a wealth of rustic features from flagstone floors to original beams, there is a wood burner in the upstairs living room where the views are splendid, on the ground floor there is a games living room and an en-suite master bedroom with four poster bed. The enclosed lawned garden has flower borders and garden furniture. Hay-on-Wye, known as the "second hand book capital of the world" is 5 miles away with excellent restaurants, antique shops and glorious fishing. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage as a group of seven. The space was perfect for us—plenty of room for everyone to relax without ever feeling crowded. There was also plenty of parking right outside. The games room was a real highlight, with a pool table, darts, and even a piano, which kept us entertained for hours. As well as that, we absolutely loved the spacious and characterful upstairs living room, where we could all gather comfortably together.The hot tub was another standout feature—nicely private and a great way to unwind in the evenings. The location itself is beautiful, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway.The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, which made the whole experience even better.The only slight downside was that we couldn’t get the TV or DVD player to work, which was a shame as we’d been looking forward to a movie night. That said, it didn’t take away from what was otherwise a brilliant stay.It’s not essential, but bath sheets along with the bath and hand towels provided would also be a useful addition, and maybe a larger sign with the name of the cottage by the electric entrance gates.We all found the beds comfortable and there was also a double bedroom with en-suite downstairs. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this cottage and would love to come back!

This was the perfect location on the edge of the Brecon BeaconsOur hosts were fantastic, the house was excellent, clean and well equipped with the added bonus of the pool table and jacuzzi. Can’t recommend it highly enough

I can recommend this cottage. It’s in a wonderful location and within easy driving distance of both Hay and Brecon. The house is clean and spacious with extensive gardens and access to local footpaths. Dave and Sharon were welcoming and helpful hosts. The only issue we had was the lack of Internet / WiFi but this was a minor inconvenience. We would definitely like to return in the future.
