Our second stay at Orchard Barn and me and my dog enjoyed it just as much as the first time! We absolutely love having the sheep (and lambs this time) right outside the windows, and hearing all the wildlife. It’s remote enough to be peaceful, but still within easy driving of loads of lovely places to visit. It’s really well equipped with everything you could need, and the comfiest bed!

The cottage is comfortable but very isolated up a narrow country lane. We were there for New Year and it snowed the morning we were leaving. It made driving in the narrow lanes with steep hills quite testing. It is quite a long way away from shops, pubs etc. so make sure you have plenty of supplies. There are good supermarkets in Llandrindod Wells, but that is quite a hike.When we arrived there was no internet because some one had turned off the router which is hidden in a cupboard in the upstairs bedroom. There is no mobile phone signal unless you turn on WiFi calling in the phone’s settings the Wi-Fi is good. It is an ideal setting for a family or two couples, if you are a confident driver who wants to get away from it all.

A very comfortable and clean property and we thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break here, despite having no mobile signal and no internet!! Perhaps this should be borne in mind when booking.
