Waggoners Cottage in Montgomery is highly praised for its stunning views, tranquil setting, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently mention the cleanliness, comfort, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property's location is ideal for exploring Mid Wales & Cardigan Bay, with easy access to local towns and attractions. While there are minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvement, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Reviews frequently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as 'spotless'. There is a single mention of dog waste in the play area, but this seems to be an isolated incident not affecting the overall high standards maintained within the property.
The location is consistently lauded for its outstanding views and peacefulness, being set back from the road on a farm. Its proximity to local towns and attractions like National Trust houses adds to its appeal. The only drawback mentioned is the signage, which has caused some confusion for arriving guests.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, particularly highlighting the cosy atmosphere and the comfortable beds. The master bed receives specific praise. One guest mentioned an issue with pillow comfort due to personal health reasons, but this appears to be a unique preference rather than a general concern.
The facilities, including the hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen, are appreciated by guests. However, there are comments about the hot tub's temperature maintenance and a freezer not being ready for immediate use. These issues suggest room for improvement in maintenance and preparedness.
Several reviews mention thoughtful touches like fresh eggs, Welsh cakes, and a warm welcome from the owner. While these gifts are appreciated and contribute to the positive experience, it is important to note that such personal touches, although likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Mrs Tinsley left eggs milk jams and some Welsh cakes. The cottage itself is beautiful. We would definitely stay again.
