A beautiful, large, detached farmhouse less than a mile away from the centre of Newtown, which has been thoughtfully renovated to a very good standard to combine many of the original features with contemporary conveniences creating a wealth of warm and character. The large lawned areas to the front and rear of the property provide excellent outdoor space, perfect for parties or family groups, along with a private hot tub and garden furniture. Newtown is one of the largest towns in Powys and sits on the banks of the River Severn, and the Montgomeryshire Canal. The town plays host to a number of events and festivals during the year, and has a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants, and its own small theatre. Nearby attractions include Powys Castle, Gregynog Hall, Glansevern Hall and gardens, and the Andrew Logan Sculpture Museum. For those looking for adventure, there is quad biking, paint balling and horse riding nearby, along with plenty of golf courses, and of course there is easy access to Shropshire and the west Wales coastline.

A Magical Christmas Stay at Cefnaire – A Perfect Family Retreat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We recently spent our Christmas week at Cefnaire in Powys, Wales, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spacious and beautifully decorated the property was. The house had everything we needed and more, making it the perfect place for our family holiday.The large, well-equipped kitchen was an absolute highlight, allowing us to cook and enjoy festive meals together with ease. There were two bedrooms with ensuites, which was great for added privacy, and the large family bathroom was perfect for everyone to share.We especially loved the hot tub, which was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of exploring or just relaxing in front of the cozy fireplace. The decorations added a wonderful festive touch, making it feel like a true Christmas getaway.The town of Newtown was a delightful surprise! This charming town offered the perfect mix of traditional Welsh character and modern convenience. We enjoyed leisurely strolls around the quaint streets, discovering local shops, cozy cafes, and scenic spots. Plus, it had all the essentials – major supermarkets, takeaways, and everything you need for any forgotten items. It was the ideal place for a relaxed wander, with just enough to keep everyone entertained.What really made our stay extra special was the warm welcome from our host, who was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even when he was busy tending to his farm, he made sure we had everything we needed and was always just a message away. The arrival gifts were such a thoughtful touch and made us feel right at home.Cefnaire provided the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and space, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our Christmas week. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we’re already planning our next visit!

Lovely big home that was great for our needs and the hot tub was fab. Its a great location backs on to the hills and beautiful scenery and short walk in to town. Would recommend!
