Guests say

Rhiew Banc is a spacious and well-equipped cottage, ideal for families, groups, and dog owners seeking a peaceful countryside escape. Guests consistently praise the comfort of the beds, the extensive facilities including a hot tub, games room, and enclosed garden, as well as the beautiful rural setting. The property is kept very clean and the owners are friendly and responsive. While some guests mention flies, especially in summer, most found this manageable and expected in a farm location. Thoughtful touches such as welcome hampers and fresh eggs are appreciated, though not guaranteed.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotless and beautifully clean, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Only one review mentions flies as an issue, but this is attributed to the rural farm setting rather than a lack of cleanliness.

The cottage is praised for its peaceful, secluded farm location with lovely views and easy access to both North and South Wales. Some guests note the lack of a local pub or shop and the presence of flies due to the rural setting, but overall the location is seen as a positive for those seeking tranquillity.

Guests consistently mention very comfortable beds, quality pillows, and spacious living areas. Thick walls and quality windows ensure a quiet stay. The property is described as ideal for relaxation and group gatherings.

Facilities are highly praised, including a well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, games room with snooker and darts, smart TVs in every room, strong Wi-Fi, and a large enclosed garden. Maintenance is generally excellent, with only a minor note about the hot tub cover.

Many guests mention welcome hampers and fresh eggs, as well as friendly, responsive owners. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Amazing. Spent 2 weeks here - my husband and I with my brother and sister in law. The house is a tardis and we joked with the owner that we needed a floor plan. The men set up their xbox’s in the cinema room whilst me and the sis enjoyed the fabulous views from the living room. Most days we didn’t have the tv or radio on because we were enjoying the sounds of the birds and the sheep. We all found the beds to be really comfy, and for me, the pillows are the best i’ve had outside my own. Well equipped kitchen which was well used. We were blessed with fabulous weather and used the hot tub mainly late on so we could enjoy star gazing which was superb. Eggs provided in welcome basket were fabulous - all double yolks which made for fantastic omlettes (but ruined my yorkshire puddings lol). The men, who have been snooker lovers since they were kids, really enjoyed the full size table and made good use of it. Wifi was great too which is always a bonus when you’re so remote. To address the fly issue, we were there late April so whilst there were some flies, we may not have had as bad an experience as some others. But you’re on a farm in the middle of nowhere for goodness sake. There were plenty of anti fly solutions provided, and having read previous reviews we took some of our own, and our holiday was non the worse for it. Overall i would rate it as one of the best cottgage holidays, and we’ve been doing this for years. Owners very friendly and responsive and we had. i concerns that we could contact them if needed. Highly recommend.

Excellent place to stay as a family and our cocker spaniels Bella and Mya. We all enjoyed the enclosed garden, the hot tub and games room, besides all the space and facilities. Smart TVs in every room, as well as surround sound in one of the rooms. Would highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you

this is an outstanding property with all the creature comforts you could ask for. its situated on a nice quiet farm and very secluded. the owners a very helpful. i stayed in another one of their properties last year and the quality of both is exceptional. as for the area, Newtown is a lovely town with all the local facilities you could ask for and lots of pubs & restaurants. its in a fantastic central place to visit north & south Wales, and even the coast(just over an hour). and can even venture into Shropshire(lots of castles & steam trains in all directions).
