Rhayader 1.5 miles. Oakwood House is a high quality farmhouse-style cottage nestled in the incredible Welsh countryside near the market town of Rhayader. With the brilliant features and beautiful decor, this property is the perfect stay for a holiday with family and friends. Step into Oakwood and enter into the light and bright hallway, to the left sits a fantastic little sitting room with comfortable furniture, a TV. Further down the hallway sits a stunning snooker room which leads to the astounding main living area, a spacious sun room with an atrium-style ceiling, seating for 10 and phenomenal views across the rural location that you're sat in. The ground floor also boasts a large kitchen diner with a rustic dining table and a contemporary fitted kitchen will all of the necessary appliances. Oakwood House expands across 3 floors, the upper floors present 6 immaculate, homely bedrooms as well as sumptuous bathroom facilities to complete the interior of the property. The standout feature of Oakwood is certainly its garden, you can choose to roam the extensive lawn area or just sit back and relax on the fantastic terrace furniture or even the hot tub. Rhayader is a delightful town with a fine selection of pretty tearooms as well as pubs and restaurants to choose from. The popular town of Llandrindod Wells is nearby and is certainly worth a visit during your stay. Oakwood House is a wonderful cottage in an idyllic countryside location.
The market town of Rhayader offers a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and unique little shops. The Red Kite Feeding Station, on the outskirts of the town is a great attraction, and the superb Elan Valley boasts a variety of walks and cycle trails.

We stay around the area, the same time each year so have been to many houses, the configuration of this property works fantastic for a large group. Beds were very comfortable

Just a few things that could be addressed - there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms, no spare toilet roll and no cleaning products anywhere so if you donât arrive with these things it means a trip into town right away. The top half of the garden with the gate was good for our dogs but the house is advertised as dog friendly and I donât believe the grass part is actually dog friendly due to all the holes in the fences where sheep were kept and the grass part is not safely enclosed and if you have energetic or nosey dogs this isnât ideal. Also, the stair gate that was meant to stop dogs going upstairs was broke and kept falling off the wall every time somebody came through.
