About this property
A detached, 19th century, stone-built barn conversion on a large working livestock farm, with lovely views over open farmland and rolling hills, on the edge of St Harmon and only three miles from Rhayader. This cottage offers spacious, well-equipped accommodation, traditionally decorated and furnished in Laura Ashley textiles, creating a very comfortable cottage for a large family or group of friends. The bedrooms offer very flexible sleeping arrangements and the front garden with hot tub is ideal for relaxing and dining alfresco after enjoying the beautiful scenery and walks in the region. The property comes close to the beautiful Elan Valley Lakes, the Gilfach Nature Reserve and the Red Kite Feeding Station in Rhayader. Builth Wells is within easy reach, and offers shops, pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and the Royal Welsh Showground. This wonderful part of Wales offers something for everyone and this quality Rhayader holiday cottage is the perfect base to make the most of the area. Rhayader is a small Welsh town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and shops, with the added bonus of a leisure centre and regular livestock marts. The annual Royal Welsh Show is just one of the attractions in nearby Builth Wells, where a great variety of exhibitions and sales are held all year round. The beautiful Elan Valley offers a wonderful variety of walks and cycle trails, as well as a visitor centre with cafe and children's play area.
