Trem Yr Ynys is a well-received cottage praised for its fantastic location, warmth, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the pet-friendly environment, the sound of the nearby river, and the convenience for walks and dining. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness niggles were mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning to return.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though a few guests noted cobwebs and a persistent pet odour in the lounge. The quick response to a complaint about bed comfort with the provision of mattress toppers reflects a proactive approach to guest comfort.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its centrality, convenience to shops and eateries, and the beautiful natural surroundings, including river views and forest walks. The availability of nearby public transport is also appreciated.
Overall, guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and quiet setting. Some guests mentioned issues with bed comfort, but these were addressed promptly. The sound of the river was soothing for most but could be a disturbance for light sleepers.
The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities, and guests are satisfied with the kitchen facilities. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as the bathroom condition and garden furniture, and one mention of inaccessible patio doors.
Guests mentioned a welcoming treat of milk and fruit bread, which adds a thoughtful touch to their stay. While such gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that these are not guaranteed for every visit.

Stayed here for the second time and will be back! Well- equipped, warm and central to village and forestry walks from the door. Places to eat across the road and a busy useful store too. Thankyou

Perfect spot in the perfect location. All facilities were there, couldn't have asked for more. We were there during storm Amy so it was a loud night in terms of the nearby waterfalls. As someone who deals with tree safety management i might suggest an aerial survey of the tree in the car park as it lost quite a bit of deadwood from the canopy in the night, tree is healthy though! Nothing to worry about just removal of any remaining deadwood. 🙂

Fantastic location, lovely warm cottage. Close to everything you need but quiet. We liked sitting by the river. Just a couple of niggles, could of used extra bin and compost bags. Also the lounge smelt of dogs all the time we were there. It wouldn't put us off and we'd come back again.
