Guests say

Guests are delighted with Trem Yr Ynys, praising its central location in Betws-Y-Coed, proximity to dining options, and scenic forestry walks. The cottage is described as warm and well-equipped, offering a comfortable stay with a charming river setting. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

The property is generally found to be clean and comfortable. However, a few guests mentioned cobwebs and a persistent pet odour in the lounge, slightly affecting the cleanliness score.

The location is highly praised for being central, with easy access to shops, cafes, and natural attractions. Its proximity to bus stops and the high street adds to its appeal.

The cottage is considered lovely and warm, contributing to a comfortable stay. Some guests found the beds creaky and the mattresses uncomfortable, but the issue was promptly addressed by the owner.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and sufficient parking. However, points are deducted for the mentioned maintenance issues such as the bathroom condition, garden furniture, and patio doors.

While guests appreciated the welcoming treats, such as milk and fruit bread, there is not enough information to evaluate the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Stayed here for the second time and will be back! Well- equipped, warm and central to village and forestry walks from the door. Places to eat across the road and a busy useful store too. Thankyou

Perfect spot in the perfect location. All facilities were there, couldn't have asked for more. We were there during storm Amy so it was a loud night in terms of the nearby waterfalls. As someone who deals with tree safety management i might suggest an aerial survey of the tree in the car park as it lost quite a bit of deadwood from the canopy in the night, tree is healthy though! Nothing to worry about just removal of any remaining deadwood. 🙂

Fantastic location, lovely warm cottage. Close to everything you need but quiet. We liked sitting by the river. Just a couple of niggles, could of used extra bin and compost bags. Also the lounge smelt of dogs all the time we were there. It wouldn't put us off and we'd come back again.
