Guests say

Gwern Borter Manor is consistently praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen, making it ideal for large groups. The stunning location offers easy access to countryside walks, beaches, and local attractions. Guests have enjoyed the luxurious touches like hot tubs, saunas, and comfortable beds, contributing to a memorable stay despite minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights.

The property is generally described as clean and tidy. However, there were isolated mentions of fruit flies in the kitchen and dog waste in the garden, suggesting occasional lapses in cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful countryside, proximity to beaches, and local attractions like Conwy Castle and Betws-Y-coed. The rural setting is appreciated for its tranquility and scenic views.

Guests have repeatedly highlighted the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the property. The numerous positive comments about the comfortable furnishings and homely atmosphere contribute to a high comfort rating.

The facilities, including hot tubs and saunas, are well-received. The kitchen is well-appointed, but there are some concerns about the adequacy of the dishwasher size and the number of pans. Maintenance issues like non-working showers and a leaky tap were noted.

While guests have mentioned lovely additional touches, there is no specific mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the provision of gifts, and the score is set to null.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is unquestionably well-known around the world for its historical and architectural legacy, yet the centre of the town is a hive of busy activity. There are numerous specialised stores, eateries, and motels in addition to its traditional festivals and fairs, musical performances, galleries, and tourist attractions. Conwy Castle, which was constructed for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, is still regarded as one of the finest examples of mediaeval military construction. The castle's unusual, elongated shape—complete with two barbicans, eight enormous towers, and a large bow-shaped hall—was likely influenced by the castle's location on a small rocky outcrop. The Gwledd Conwy Feast, the Honey Fair, the Seed Fair, and other yearly festivals, events, and fairs, as well as other musical occasions throughout the year, are just a few of the town's many annual celebrations of its historical traditions, which it is pleased to uphold. Conwy is the ideal starting point for exploring the stunning Snowdonia National Park, strolling along undeveloped sandy beaches, or taking in the breathtaking nature right outside your door. The Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which have the longest zip line in Europe, are also close by, while Surf Snowdonia is only six miles distant.

The house and garden were so beautiful, a perfect setting for a celebration with our friends and family. The house had everything we needed, plenty of glasses and crockery, and the hot tubs were a welcome addition! It was in a quiet location, surrounded by trees and peaceful nature. We enjoyed lots of dog walks straight from the door. Before we stayed, the owner made us feel very welcome before we arrived and helped to make everything great about our stay. We would highly recommend to anyone.
