We had a wonderful week here and the cottage is gorgeous and perfect if you are having an activity week like we did. So well located for 3 of the zip world centres and also Snowdon etc. Hot tub is lovely and the welcome bottle of wine, milk, bread and butter was a super surprise and very much appreciated. I would however, note that the stairs are rather steep and i would not recommend them for anyone with walking difficulties. the rest of the cottage is gorgeous. I would also advise taking care when parking at the cottage if you have a large car (as we do) as it is a little tricky but with practice you soon get used to it. All in all i loved it here and would definitely recommend anyone to this place. Thank you. x

Had a fantastic Easter holiday in Frondeg. The location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia and Betws-y-Coed, making it an ideal base for walks and days out.The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, and it was great to have logs and kindling provided for the fire. The cottage itself was well-suited for our family of four plus our dog, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.I’d seen a few reviews mentioning the gravel driveway being steep and tight, but I didn’t find it a problem at all—even in a Volkswagen Transporter van. I was able to reverse up to the top without any issues. As expected with a dog-friendly property, there was a slight smell of damp dogs, but this didn’t bother us and is to be expected given the type of guests the cottage attracts.Outside, there was plenty of space to enjoy, including a table and chairs, a small swing and slide for younger children, and a hot tub—which was a real bonus after long days of hiking.Overall, we had a really great stay and would happily book again. We did have a small issue with the heating, but the owner was excellent—driving over from Wrexham and fixing it the same evening. Brilliant service!

The hot tub was not working (heating) the day we arrived and wasn’t fixed until late the next day, which meant we only had use of it for about half of our stay. The issue seemed to be a dirty/blocked filter, which is pretty gross, as they should be changed regularly. There was no contact number and I had to go through cottages several times in order to get the owner to fix it. It would be advisable to leave a contact number for the owner at the property or on the booking details. The cottage was comfortable and very clean, however was missing some essentials such as coffee and cooking oil. The welcome hamper was a nice touch though.Nice rural location, with a pub a short walk away where we enjoyed some drinks and Sunday lunch.Note that the drive way is very steep and also narrow, depending on your car it is difficult getting on or off.Reluctantly rated 3/5 due to the hot tub issue, we had come away for a relaxing weekend and the hot tub was key, we wouldn’t have booked the property if it had no hot tub.
