Guests say

Guests have had delightful stays at Frondeg, praising its beautiful location, cosy atmosphere, and amenities like the wood burner and hot tub. The property is clean, well-equipped, and offers a relaxing holiday experience. While the driveway access is noted as steep and challenging for larger vehicles, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The cottage is consistently described as very clean, with only one mention of dog hair which was promptly addressed by the owner. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the guests' enjoyment.

The location is appreciated for its beauty and proximity to local attractions like Zip World and Betws-y-Coed. However, the closure of a local pub and the steep driveway access slightly affect the perfect score.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially after using the hot tub. The presence of a high chair and travel cot adds to the comfort for those with young children.

The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, board games, Netflix, and a hot tub. However, there was an issue with unexpected gardening work affecting the use of the hot tub and garden, indicating a slight lapse in maintenance communication.

While guests mention a welcome basket with goodies, as these gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it cannot be guaranteed that such thoughtfulness is a standard practice for every stay.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the beautiful location, particularly the walks around Betws-y-Coed and the little village itself. The wood burner and hot tub were amazing after a day of walking and the beds were comfy too. A brilliant place to stay.

Lovely clean cottage in a beautiful setting that is close to tourist areas. In the cottage there are steep stairs which maybe a problem for some guests and access to the driveway is very tight and steep. Had a lovely relaxing holiday when we visited with our two dogs.

We had a lovely stay at Frondeg. It’s in an ideal position for Zip world as it’s only 5 minutes away, and great for exploring the local area. We did find the sofas and living room quite full of dog hair and were a little worried about being charged for this as pets aren’t allowed on the furniture but we contacted the owner and he offered to come and hoover for us which was nice but we declined as didn’t want to make a fuss. The hot tub was lovely and the kitchen was well equipped with most things you needed. Parking is a little difficult, the drive is steep and quite narrow - we have a truck so was easier with 4WD but I can imagine it being tricker for those without. The high chair and travel cot made it much easier for us and meant we could pack a little lighter so that was brilliant.
