Ty'r Heulwen is a well-regarded cottage in Aberdovey, praised for its stunning views, comfortable living spaces, and proximity to the beach and local attractions. Guests appreciate the upside-down layout with a balcony overlooking the golf course. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the property's location and the overall experience are highly valued, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting its tidy state. However, there are mentions of specific areas needing attention, such as carpets, settees, and kitchen appliances, which suggest room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, scenic views, and local amenities. The short walk to the seafront and the convenience of nearby shops and attractions contribute to a positive experience.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, particularly enjoying the views from the lounge and the balcony. Some concerns are raised about bed comfort and the need for anti-slip bath mats, indicating that while comfort is generally good, there are areas that could be enhanced.
The property is equipped with practical amenities, but several reviews mention issues with appliances such as the oven and grill, as well as difficulties with the television. These points suggest that while the facilities are adequate, maintenance could be improved.
While guests mention a welcoming touch with cakes on arrival, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

30am, so you lose 2 days of your holiday unfortunately. Because of one of us being asthmatic, the air fresheners were very powerful so would suggest not having too many around the premises.

We felt that some small touches could improve the score, like providing extra bin bags, washing up liquid and toilet rolls. Cleanliness could have been slightly better, but overall it was clean. We had to leave on the Thursday as to be out for 9.30am on the Friday would have been a rush, and you don't want to be rushing around on your holidays. Overall a comfortable apartment, and an enjoyable stay.

It was not up to standard what I paid for. It said 8 people sleep and there was sofa bed in living room but there was not a sofa bed either duvet, to be honest there were some spare pillows. When I checked in, it was already late and I had to sleep with my jacket first night on the sofa, I called the other day and asked them to bring a duvet. Location: think about location, it is not that convenient place, we just finished in one day to visit all area there and we have to drive away at least 1-2 hours to see the other places.
