Guests say

Cae-Fadog Fach is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views and perfect location for exploring and walking. Guests find it comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, with a special mention of the spectacular top bedroom. The approach via a narrow lane is noted, but navigable by most cars. The hosts are commended for their friendliness and helpfulness.

The property is consistently described as clean, with one mention of very clean. There was a minor issue with some cleaning tools, but this seems an exception rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its amazing views and proximity to local walks and Barmouth. The steep and narrow access is mentioned but does not detract significantly from the overall positive reception.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with a special mention of the top bedroom. There was a minor issue with dampness in one bedroom, but it was swiftly addressed.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property described as well-equipped. However, there were some concerns about maintenance, such as broken cleaning tools and a response to dampness.

While the hosts are described as friendly and welcoming, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would allow for a score in this category.

There is a long lane leading to the property which is quite narrow in places. All drivers should take care, particularly owners of wide vehicles such as 4 wheel drives. The lane is very narrow, very wide vehicles over 1.85 metres wide such as large 4 wheel drives may have difficulty getting through. Bring your smallest vehicle to ensure a speedy access. The garden has dry stone walls, these could be dangerous if climbed on.

There are low banisters at the property.

This place is simply perfect you're looking for a cosy getaway with beautiful walks, a cosy log burner and outstanding views. The house is comfortable, clean and has all could need for a long stay. I would recommend doing a big food shop on the way as its a bit of a steep walk from the town back to the house. We didn't mind the challenging walk back to the house to burn off all of the food and wine from the lovely local pubs. We can't wait to come back.

This is an excellent cottage, with stunning views, in the perfect location for exploring local hills. It’s a steep climb back up from Barmouth if you’ve just popped down for bit of shopping but, provided you’re able, it’ll keep you fit. The track up is narrow and with stone walls either side and this might be tricky with some cars but is no problem for a Fiat 500!
