Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds.

Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Doggy extras. Enclosed back garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times outside of the cottage and garden (sheep country). No smoking. Please note: There are 6 steps in the garden. There are open stairs at the property.. On a clear night the view of the sky is stunning, and the moonlight can be strong enough to provide light for a midnight trek up Snowdon. A gate at the garden’s rear leads directly to the popular, scenic Rhyd Ddu Path a few steps away, or alternatively towards the Snowdon Ranger’s Path, both offering exhilarating routes up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon). There are numerous other mountain walks straight from the cottage, including Mynedd Mawr and the Nantlle Ridge, the Snowdonia slate trail, and walks on lower ground through the Beddgelert Forest, making it an ideal haven for hiking enthusiasts.

The surrounding area is rich withattractions. The Welsh Highland Railway running from Porthmadog to Caernarfon stops at the Rhyd Ddu station, only 150 metres away from the cottage, where you can experience a delightful journey on one of the WHR steam trains. Nearby, Beddgelert is a picturesque village, renowned for its stone cottages, charming riverside setting, and lush surroundings. The multi-use recreational path from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert, Lon Gwyrfrai, leads though a variety of landscapes offering fantastic views of the surrounding area. Beddgelert village is steeped in legend, including the tale of Gelert’s grave, and visitors can enjoy scenic walks by the rivers, welcoming pubs, and craft shops, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

    Beautiful location with a direct view of Snowdon from the back garden. Well equipped cottage. Plenty of local walks. One of the more strenuous walks to Snowdon summit directly behind the cottage, Rhyd Ddu path.
