Really charming cosy Welsh cottage with great hosts. Full of home comforts and all you could need. Really beautifully decorated, the beds are comfy and the little enclosed back garden is a sun trap with lots of lovely chaffinches/birds bobbing around. Just off the back garden there is a huge laundry/storage room with a small tabletop freezer and a washer (we used the storage for storing our roof box). Beautiful picturesque location, with a lake and mountains just to the back of the property - access is just a short walk away. Lovely dog walks and runs from the door. My husband bought a day ticket for fishing the lake from the Cwellyn Arms which was £25 but this is for all the lakes and rivers in the area. Whilst there we visited Dinas Dinlle beach then drove the short distance to Trefor - both about 15 mins away. We also went on the Ffestiniog Railway up to Porthmadog which was wonderful. Cracking Chinese in the next village called Beijing House if you fancy a take away - I’ve put a menu in the drawer. We stayed with our children and grandparents, truly a gorgeous stay, we’ve made lots of amazing memories.

We had a lovely stay at Wenallt Cottage. The location is absolutely stunning, overlooking Nantlle Lake and surrounded by beautiful mountains, making it a perfect place to relax. The cottage is cosy, full of character, and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cosy garden is secure and great for dogs, which was a big plus for us. Just note that dogs are not allowed upstairs and the downstairs doors do not stay closed, so bringing a baby gate is a good idea.Overall, a peaceful and charming place to stay, and a great base for exploring North Wales. We would happily return.
