External utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. . Back garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 3 steps from the front door, rear entrance at ground level.. Once inside, you’re greeted by a spacious living room with a warming log burner perfect for those chillier days a separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside to the rear of the cottage is a secure utility building with washing machine and tumble dryer, there’s also ample space to store bikes and hang your wet suits in here. Upstairs you’ll find three spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Situated in the popular Penmaenpool home to the grade II listed, wooden toll bridge, this amazing Toll bridge was built in 1879 across the tidal Mawddach Estuary at Penmaenpool. The toll bridge is still in use today, linking the coastal towns of Tywyn and Barmouth in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. The Mawddach Trail walking and cycle path passes here, and follows the route of the old railway line from Dolgellau to Barmouth; cycle hire is available in both Dolgellau and Barmouth.
Also adjacent is the rspb bird hide, a great place for watching birds out on the estuary. If you can bear to tear yourself away from this perfect location, the bustling market town of Dolgellau home to an abundance of eateries, welcoming pubs and I dependant shops. The beaches of Barmouth and Fairbourne are well worth a visit, as are the nearby Fairbourne Railway and Talyllyn Railway. Beach 7 miles.

Great location for what we needed - near to Dolgellau which was handy and great for walks. Clean and comfortable but hot water/ shower not great and could probably do with an update. Didnt detract from the stay too much though.

A traditional Welsh cottage with lots of original features. Charming and cozy, set in a quiet and beautiful location, we wouldn't think twice about rebooting if we're to return to the area. Spacious living room, adequately equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely back garage which is a sun trap in the evenings.
