Between the breath-taking golden beaches of the North Wales coastline and The Rhinogs, a section of the Snowdonia Mountains, is the peaceful community of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Due to its peculiar location, this quaint community enjoys a warm climate and has excellent local restaurants and bars. A fascinating variety of animals and birds, including soaring buzzards, can be found nearby. Only 4 miles away lies the little town of Harlech, which is dominated by its magnificent 13th-century castle, a World Heritage Site and the most stunning of all the castles Edward I built in North Wales. Due to its renowned Royal St. David's course, Harlech is well-liked among golfers. It also has a great selection of amenities, including some high-quality restaurants.

We stayed for a week in September 2024, the cottage was very clean, and had everything we needed, including a gift of a box of biscuits, which went down very well after our 6 hour drive. The communication from the owner was clear and friendly. We will definitely be going back!

The cottage is perfect for our family of 4 with everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable and the location is idyllic, so peaceful with fabulous views. The games room is great for older kids (and adults!). A well resourced kitchen and quality furnishings along with great outdoor space. We watched the sunset from just outside the cottage which was so lovely. Great for our dog too! Have been staying in and around Barmouth for over 20 years, but this has been the best cottage we have found yet. Owners easily contactable, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee on arrival were a lovely touch too. Already booked to return next year.
