About this property

This detached bungalow is located in the heart of Harlech, a historic seaside village on the west coast of North Wales, in the Snowdonia National Park. North Wales' coast and mountains are two of its most valuable assets, and you can enjoy both of them from this homely bungalow. Clyd Fan is perfect for friends and families, consisting of three well-presented bedrooms. The bunk room also offers a cot bed, which will come in handy if there is an additional youngster in the family. The living/dining room is very welcoming and the large picture window elevates the space, with a light and bright feel. Prepare home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which extends through to a large conservatory at the rear of the bungalow, with extra seating, TV and additional dining area, perfect for gathering with the family. The garden is a beautifully kept area, enjoying a sunny aspect at the rear for most of the day, where you can enjoy a drink and some alfresco dining in the warmer months with your loved ones. There is a bus stop close to the bungalow, and the bungalow is also ideally situated for rail users, being only a 15 minute walk from Harlech Station on the Cambrian Coastal line with direct trains to Birmingham. Walks are in abundance from this delightful cottage, which is situated close to an open park, nature garden and woodland. A visit to Harlech Castle and the new visitors' centre is a must. The high street is just a short walk away, where you will find a good selection of independent shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Magnificent sandy beaches and sand dunes are within easy reach and just less than a mile away is the famous Royal St. David's Golf Club, one of the finest links courses, while the whole of the Snowdonia National Park is just waiting to be explored. Barmouth, Porthmadog, and the world-famous Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion are all within easy access and well worth a visit. This bungalow provides an excellent Snowdonia base all year round.

Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.

Bus stop just outside too , so easy to travel around , and not use car if you don't want to. Thanks.

Superb Fish and chips only a few minutes walk, as is Harlech Castle. Bungalow has a great “entertainment space” extension/orangery across the rear with lovely patio and garden area. Good base for touring the area and ideal for family. Would book again.

In a quiet location. Just a short walk to the beautiful Harlech Castle. A few small shops in the area to buy ice cream or essentials. Good communication with the property owner. Had a lovely restful stay and would recommend to others. Would be a wonderful place to stay for people who love to walk stunning scenery. Probably a 25min drive to the nearest Tesco, Aldi or Lidl in Portmadog. Lots of places to visit if you fancy a drive out to see surrounding areas.
