Stayed in a nautical pod on the park last year to attend a memorial event and left a 5 star perfect review as it was fabulous. The location is beautiful, the pod was excellent, hot tub was a fabulous addition, so much so that I booked the exact same pod this year for this years event. Asked about booking the same again the last time I was there (I'm sentimental and if I love something I like to stick with it!) and was advised that when you book on the *info removed by Feefo* system it let's you click book again and shows you the pod you are staying in so I did that.On arrival on the 18th May l got there to discover that the Pod I believed I booked was not where I would be staying but I'd be in the one next door (the middle of the three) which I was assured was the same and had also never had pets in-I asked a number of times as I have allergies. I like to know in advance exactly where I'm staying so though not overly happy about adjusting my expectations I figured I'd just have to get over that and all would be fine and as we'd arrived pretty late and had to go and meet a group of people we got the keys and dumped our stuff and headed out not noticing anything in too much detail. Where it becomes 'poor' was on our return at 11pm when we started to unpack so we could get some sleep. It was then that I noticed how dirty the pod was after standing on something sticky barefoot on the bedroom floor. Unfortunately my neuro spicy nature then set me off on a cleaning spree and looking more deeply at everything which in turn led to me cleaning the pod until about 1am so that I could feel comfortable enough to sleep! I know there are issues with dust on the black furniture of the pods and can accept that as you're never going to keep those parts dust free but when you are having to remove the bedding to sweep the bed mattress as it's filled with food crumbs, hair and has marks on it and clean floors as you are sticking to them while finding piles of hair stacked in corners, that's not dust anymore, that's weeks of collective gatherings!!Thankfully due to my bad back I'd brought a self inflating mattress with me just in case the mattress triggered it so I added that to the top of the bed so as not to have to use the mattress direct and changed the bedding to the cleanest of the quilt covers and just got on with the rest of the stay. I did inform the receptionist first thing the next morning of the issues so that I could raise it as a problem they need to address for future guests. They verbally apologised and mentioned the issue with the dust on the black furniture but then once shown photographs of all the issues agreed that this was not acceptable and that they would raise it with the contractors who do the cleaning as the cleaning of the pods was contracted out. The receptionist asked me to email the photos to her so that she could have evidence of the issues. I emphasised that as I'd done a large part of the cleaning and had unpacked everything that I did not want someone coming to the pod to do anything about it I just wanted to make them aware so that they can address any remaining issues I did not have time or inclination to do e.g. the microwave or oven as wasn't using those as getting fed elsewhere.Due to how busy we were at the volunteering project I did not get the chance to email the photos until the end of the stay which I did and also sent a full and detailed set of feedback regarding the issues that I experienced as well as suggestions on improvements to ensure the same did not happen to future guests. I also fed this back to staff on the desk when I handed in my key, all of whom were equally appalled at the photos. On returning home it looked as if the emails had bounced back and not sent so I sent them again fully and asked for a response to ensure they had been received and that they were able to access the photos and would address the issues. I have not yet received a response from anyone regarding any of it and the photos remain unopened despite asking for a read receipt. I had put off completing this review to give them time to come back to me but as of yet there is no reply. If you the reader have made it this far-congratulations! I have not written it with the intention of being negative or to put anyone off from staying there. Please do visit! It's a fabulous park and the pods have the potential to be excellent! The staff were all friendly enough, the location is absolutely stunning, the hot tub is amazing and the place is filled with magic and beauty wherever you look so please do give it a try! This review is simply to give you the evidence you'll need if you also experience something similar. I provided them with very detailed feedback and I'm hoping the issues will have already been addressed as a result but if not push for change as it would be a shame for people to miss out on such magic for something as solvable as cleaning or spot checks quality controlling the aspects the park contracts out. Without the experiences I received this time it would have again been 5 stars as you'll be able to see in my previous review in May 2025. I'd like to return again at some point in the not too distant future so I'm hoping to be able to update this to being 5 star once again if I do!And if you got this far and you are a staff member of the park, please organise a reply so that I know you have received all the evidence I sent and if not just let me know and I'll send it again!

Spent a lovely weekend here loved the views. The lodge was well equipped and ideal for two adults and two children the hot-tub was in great condition. Swimming pool and changing rooms great. Only slight problem was lots of dust in the lodge as others have mentioned.

The pod wasn't cleaned properly before our arrival, and it was very dusty. It was as if it hadn't been occupied for a while.
