Guests say

Little House is a quaint cottage in North Wales, appreciated for its character, stunning views, and peaceful location. Guests have enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, with several mentioning the warmth of the log fire and the property's suitability for dogs. The cottage's history and traditional features add to its charm, and the owner's friendliness is often noted. While some guests have suggested improvements and maintenance, the overall experience is one of a delightful rural retreat ideal for exploring the surrounding area.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage well-presented, while others noted areas needing attention, such as under the bed and kitchen appliances. The presence of a bowl of rotting vegetables in one instance suggests inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and tranquillity, with easy access to local sights by car. The peaceful setting and proximity to interesting places make it a favourable spot for many guests.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, some have mentioned issues with water pressure and furniture that could be upgraded for enhanced comfort.

Facilities have received mixed feedback. Positive remarks include the underfloor heating and log burner, but there are several calls for maintenance and updates on appliances, furniture, and general upkeep.

The owner's thoughtfulness is noted in reviews mentioning welcoming gestures such as flowers, milk, and Welsh cakes. However, as these gifts are not consistently reported by all guests, they should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

. You need to put carpet on them, that would be safer!. Need some instructions how the TV works, we could only watch one channel. That's the moaning out if the way, the location of the cottage is really good. It's been many years since we have been that way, really enjoyed the train journey from portmadog to Barmouth even though it was raining. Next day we found a beautiful beach, I got sunburnt, the dog loved it. But we decided to come back a day early, the weather and we could not cope with those stairs anymore. We did have a good time away and we will be back, but not at this cottage. I shall be doing more research, feel disappointed has we have been Sykes customers a long time.

For us within an hour or less drive to areas we wished to visit for coastal and mountainous walks. Appreciated having the full week rather than our planned weekend! Given useful information to find the property and getting the key on day one was easy. We had a lovely time away.

The first thing noted was the condition of the cooker top was dirty looking. We set about cleaning the c00ker top as best we were able. We then decided to inspect the bedroom and was really upset, the bed appeared to look clean but when we pulled the throw back there was several woodlice in between the sheets! we removed the bed sheets and noted a stain on the sheets and pillow. The issues with the woodlice did not improved. There were other items noted, one of the chairs was broken, the toilet seat was not secure, to try and resolve the woodlice issue we moved the bed and noted that the floor area below the bed was disgusting. There was a travel trunk in the living room which we moved to retrieve a pack of playing cards and it was also noted that the area had not been need cleaned.
