Upper Barn Cottage is situated on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park and nestles in a quiet setting within the owner's 23 acres of hill pasture and woodland. It is approximately half way between the towns of Machynlleth to the south and Dolgellau to the north, in the Dovey forest, Powys, Mid Wales. Mallwyd village is nearby and has a pub, shop and fuel station.
The property is a short distance from the village of Aberangell and 5 minutes' drive from the A470, which provides easy access to the surrounding countryside and to north and south Wales. It is about 10 miles to the coast. The cottage is approached via a tarmac track next to the river Angell. Aberdovey, about 20 miles away, makes an enjoyable day out and from there you can access the All Wales Coast Path.
Located 10 miles north-east of Machynlleth and 14 miles south-east of Dolgellau on the Powys/Gwynedd border, Aberangell is a small and rural village served by a number of farmsteads.

Two acre landscaped garden with lake and seating.
One small dog welcome (additional charge applies) and must be well behaved around stock, a second pet will be considered, please call us to discuss.
Dog must be kept on a lead at all times in the garden and grounds.
Sorry, no smoking in the cottage or vicinity.

Could make more of opportunity to feed owls! Maps of local trails/walks and tourist maps /information would be good - for Covid could be hand drawn/ photocopied and free flyers - all disposable.
