Part of a lovely 17th-century property and set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens with walks from the doorstep, this is a fantastic place to base yourself to enjoy the stunning Welsh scenery that surrounds you. If you’re after something a little more sedate, you are within a short stroll of the village shop, pub and cafe, or you can travel 8 miles to the market town of Machynlleth where you can experience the nature of the Dyfi Valley, including the nature reserve and walks along the riverside. Perfect for lovers of the great outdoors, you’ll find yourself on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park where you can enjoy plenty of outdoor sports including mountain biking, hiking and mountaineering in a spectacular environment. There is also the MOMA – Museum of Modern Art which showcases contemporary Welsh art and hosts rotating exhibitions.
As soon as you walk into this 17th-century property, you’ll be struck by its period charm with oak beams, inglenook fireplace and slate floors. The country house has been developed into individual holiday homes with an empathy to the building and a consideration for comfort. The spacious kitchen is well equipped with all you need to rustle up a meal whilst enjoying views over the garden. When ready, walk through to the gorgeous lounge/diner and gather at the dining table, the perfect setting for a meal, overlooking the garden. After a full day out, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch a film on the Smart TV or light the wood burner for cosy nights in. When ready for bed, you have two lovely bedrooms to choose from, the double four poster bed or the twin, both with lovely views to wake up to. The bathroom has a shower over bath, perfect to start the day with a leisurely soak.
Outside, there is a lovely paved patio with furniture, the perfect spot for al fresco dining with a charcoal BBQ to hand, overlooking the garden. There are 5 acres of grounds to explore with wildlife pond, woodland and expansive lawn, with opportunities to play pickle ball, badminton and football.
