As the perfect semi-detached place to base yourself for a relaxing holiday, East Monkton Farm has a certain charm about it from the moment you walk through the door. There is a spacious boot room leading to the kitchen/dining room and the living room is a fabulous size great for family fun in the evenings. There is a ground floor toilet, and on the first floor are two huge double bedrooms with views over the rollingside countryside. A family shower room completes the accommodation. To the rear of the property is a small, grassed area with a gate leading to an enclosed large lawned garden – great for your four-legged friends to run around in - and garden furniture for enjoying the evening sun.
East Monkton Farm lies just 6 miles from the beautiful town of Cowbridge with its array of lovely shops, coffee shops and restaurants. This is truly a perfect place for those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside, whether it be ion foot, by bike or with your dog. Take a stroll to Blaen Y Cwm Nature Reserve and head down to Monknash beach and watch the waves crashing on the shoreline. Enjoy cliff top walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset and North Devon. Beautiful Ogmore-by-Sea is 5 miles away with its huge beach and fabulous sand dunes. The lovely beach at Southerndown is close by too. For the more adventurous, the go-karting centre is just 3 miles from the property, Margam Park with Go Ape is 12 miles away and there are some beautiful walks to be had at Margam Park. The property is only 30 minutes from Cardiff and Swansea and the Gower Peninsula is not too far away. Pub 8-minute walk from the property. Nash point lighthouse is only 10 minutes away overlooking sandbanks, and the national trust Dyffryn gardens is only 25 minuites away. Or take a 10 minute drive to llantwit major, where you can catch the train to Cardiff, Barry or Penarth for a day out.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, really quiet and clean. The pictures absolutely do not do it justice! The location is lovely with a pub about a 20min walk away, but only a 3 minute drive. We visited end of February and it was lovely and warm and cosy too!

Lovely cottage it had everything we needed it was well equipped had a lovely secure attached paddock for dogs to run in, with antique furniture which gave it a nice feeling, beds were very comfortable and so quiet at night, Owners live next door but dont bother you pub 20 minute walk away and a shop 4 minute drive in Wick. Beach just along from the pub.Nice touch to leave us milk and welsh cakes. Great location for so many places would definitely 100% recommend

Well located cottage in half of an old farmhouse. Ideal for dog owners with a large enclosed lawn and garden. It has a comfortable front room, well equipped kitchen and excellent shower. I would have given it five stars except the mattresses were too soft for me to sleep on. If you like a soft mattress I can recommend the cottage highly.
