Couples, families and holidaymakers only.. A beautiful barn is awaiting you which is full of character and charm, nestled on a 450-acre private nature reserve. With oak beams, pillars and flooring throughout the property, this luxurious barn conversion, with an open plan living space running the whole length of the property, is the ideal holiday home for all the family. The three sets of sliding doors opens up the property to the outside enclosed deck overlooking a small reeded stream and pond where you can often see a swan family who have based themselves on this stretch of the river. It is perfect for outdoor cooking, relaxing or simply enjoying watching the world go by with a glass of wine. Inside the property on a chillier evening, cosy up in front of gas wood burner or why not go up to the mezzanine level where you can enjoy playing on the table football or Xbox on the large TV which also has Netflix. Coot Lodge is furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout, with luxurious leather sofas, fluffy cushions and beautifully designed Italian table and chairs. All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the main bedroom boasting an en-suite and all have luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen.
Located on the Lower Mill Estate in Somerford Keynes, you have miles of scenic walks from the front door and an abundance of local sporting, sightseeing and relaxing activities. You have free, unlimited access to the award-winning spa a mere 50 yards stroll away, with slate-lined, naturally filtered heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools. You can swim among the water lilies in the eco plunge-pool, and relax in the sauna, steam room. There is a well-equipped techno-gym and adult-only relaxation room. A wide range of spa treatments are also available (payable locally). The gated and managed estate comprises of woodland and meadows crossed by three rivers and is surrounded by serene lakes. On the estate there is a tennis court, nature trails and cycle tracks, a playground, equipment hire and licensed restaurant with farm shop. Pub ½ mile, shop and restaurant on-site.

Beautiful house, so peaceful and comfortable. Well equipped and very clean. Perfectly located for the amenities although a bigger more equipped shop on site would of been useful. We were hoping to book for next year although the price has risen astronomically! 😔If you can afford it we highly recommend

Absolutely amazing holiday. The Lodge is situated in the perfect location, very secluded just how we like to be. The lodge is very spacious and quite cool in this hot weather , there were fans provided. The beds were comfortable, the lodge was immaculately clean. The surrounding area was beautiful and well kept. We will definitely be back.

This holiday was perfect for us, with a cold water swimmer, an angler, two paddle boarders and two young children we had everything we needed. The nature reserve was one of the best we have visited. The lakes are some of the healthiest we have paddled and the complex was pristine throughout. The pools were great for the children and the location of coot lodge was perfect for us as it felt like we were tucked away in our own little paradise. Ballihoo restaurant served some great food, the staff, particularly Sarah were so attentive and kind to the children. It was one of the most relaxing and nature rich holidays we have had, the highlight being that it was all ours to explore at will with no restrictions to the natural world. We will be returning in future for a longer stay.
