It has 16 bedrooms themed after cinematic legends, 14 bathrooms, excellent self-catering facilities, a games room and a private casino, and a five-acre garden with a spa pool. Like many grand country properties, Hollywood House was designed and decorated as a destination. Everything you need is ready and waiting or easily arranged so you and your guests can unwind without leaving its grounds. Recline in the sunshine on a lounger by the plunge pool and hot tub, do yoga outdoors under centuries-old Monkey Puzzle trees, meditate in the woodland cabin, or sit on the patio with a sundowner and enjoy expansive views across the Derwent Valley. Every booking includes a professional croupier for a casino night at the roulette wheel and blackjack table. The owner can help you tailor the perfect package, putting you in contact with everyone from private chefs to beauty therapists and photographers to make your stay completely unforgettable.

Blackbrook is a lovely village in Derbyshire. Hollywood House is two miles from Belper. Cross the River Derwent, and you're in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, in a market town with an excellent independent High Street, award-winning eateries, and a choice of bars and pubs for a relaxed drink or two. The shops in Belper are great but those with a passion for retail therapy should follow the Amber Valley Individual Factory Shop Trail for tantalising bargains.

Walk for miles through beautiful countryside or hire some bikes to explore further. Both activities are excellent ways to build up an appetite or work off the excess of a big meal. Alton Towers and Chatsworth House are each a 30-40 minute drive from Hollywood House. Though offering completely different experiences, they are always popular for days out. Poole Cavern, Crich Tramway Museum, and The Blue John Cavern are alternatives.

Accommodation Comprises:

Hollywood House has accommodation over four levels. Bedrooms are themed after legendary stars of the silver screen.

Lower Ground Floor:

James Dean - quad room with four singles or two single and one superking bed. It has an ensuite shower room.

James Bond - triple room with three singles or one superking and one single bed.

Humphrey Bogart - double room.

Modern shower room with a shower, WC and a handbasin.

Casino with a blackjack table, roulette wheel, and cocktail bar.

Ground Floor:

The main entrance and entertaining areas are on the ground floor. This layout is ideal if you are hosting additional guests for a special meal, but they are not staying overnight (please note that any extra day guests do have an extra charge).

Two reception rooms have ample seating and beautiful decor to allow guests to unwind and socialise.

A kitchen comprehensively equipped for group catering is also suitable for hiring professional caterers.

Enormous dining room/conservatory with the potential to seat up to 90 diners. It has a bar and doors that open onto the terrace.

Games room with favourites like a pool table.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers is a self-contained room in the garden. It has a four-poster double bed and ensuite shower room. A romantic room slightly away from the main house.

Elvis Presley - King bed for The King. The ensuite has a shower (but no gold-plated shower heads, sorry!)

Second Floor:

Elizabeth Taylor - Triple with one superking/twin and one single bed. Ensuite shower room.

Marilyn Monroe - Triple with three single or one superking and one single bed. Ensuite shower room.

Audrey Hepburn - Superking/twin.

Shower room with a WC and a hand basin.

Outside: Five acres of landscaped grounds inclose an extensive outdoor patio, a pool terrace with a spa pool (the pool is only open from April-October inclusive) and a hot tub, and a children's play area. There is a timber cabin with a firepit hidden away in the woods, and ample parking.

Additional Information: Bed linen, bath towels, utilities, and WiFi are included. The owner can help arrange catering and extra activities. Smoking indoors and pets are not permitted.
