Guests say

Guests consistently praise 'The Barn' for its immaculate condition, high-quality facilities, and the warm welcome provided by the hosts, including a homemade cake. The farm setting offers a unique experience with educational tours, and the property is well-suited for family gatherings and groups. The location in the Peak District provides scenic views and proximity to local attractions.

Reviewers frequently highlight the spotless condition of the property, noting its exceptional cleanliness which contributes to a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.

The property's location in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales is highly regarded for its scenic farm views and convenience to local attractions, though a few guests mentioned limited views due to high fences.

The majority of guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces well-suited for relaxation. However, a few guests noted the lounge seating to be somewhat uncomfortable and low for elderly guests.

While the reviews are overwhelmingly positive about the facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and games room, there are a few mentions of maintenance issues such as a slow-draining shower and a non-functional microwave, which prevents a definitive score.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and homemade cake, although it's politely noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Loads of space, very well maintained. Had everything we needed. Communication was great.

The house was perfect for us, the area was great for Christmas things to do with the children and they loved the Farm tour the owner gave us. The house had Christmas decorations which was a lovely touch and we couldn't fault anything about it.

The kitchen and dining area was adequate. However the lounge had the most uncomfortable sofas which were very hard and too low for the older members of our party. This is why we have given a negative rating for comfort. The most disappointing aspect was the “games room in external building “ which was not a room but a small shed making it impossible to have a proper game of pool ( as there was insufficient room for the length of normal cues ) and the dartboard was positioned so that to play you had to fire over the pool table so once again impossible to have a proper game. With two teenage boys this aspect is one of the most important things we look for when booking holiday accommodation. This is why we have given a negative rating for ‘accuracy of the listing ‘ . We did however have a pleasant weekend away for a family birthday.
