Guests say
Barn View is a beautifully presented and spacious cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, enclosed garden ideal for dogs, and proximity to local attractions and amenities. The owners are frequently described as friendly and helpful. While a few minor maintenance issues and occasional shortages of kitchen essentials were noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return and highly recommending the property.
Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with numerous guests describing the cottage as spotless, tidy, and well-maintained. Only rare mentions of minor cobwebs or maintenance issues were noted, but these did not detract from the overall impression.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, proximity to the Peak District, local walks, and easy access to shops and attractions. A small number of guests mentioned the cottage's position near a road, but this was not a major concern for most.
Guests frequently mention the cottage's comfort, cosy atmosphere, and spacious rooms. Beds are generally described as comfortable, though a couple of guests noted issues with one mattress and upstairs warmth during hot weather.
Facilities are well regarded, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, enclosed garden, and quality fixtures. Some noted occasional shortages of kitchen essentials, minor maintenance issues, and patchy WiFi, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as milk and biscuits on arrival and festive decorations at Christmas. However, as these gestures are not guaranteed, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Enjoyed our stay l think they should say that the accommodation is right next to the road even though it is not a busy one also you are overlooked when sitting in the back garden There were no fans to keep you cool and there was no umbrella for the patio so could not sit out in the hot bright sunThere was plenty of room inside and comfortable but because right near a road would not go there again
