We had a lovely stay here, great location, lovely walks and easy to reach to local towns of Buxton and Bakewell. Everything you need and a lovely warm welcoming home and perfect for our dogs. We would stay again.

I have stayed at many holiday cottages and can honestly say this is one of the best. It was formerly the family home for the grandparents of the host (Emma) and that shines through. It is not the normal sterile holiday home, but a real family home, with good furnishings and decor. The cottage is ideally located to explore the entire Peak District as nowhere is very far. Emma has left many books, games and toys to keep children amused on rainy days. The garden is a nice size for playing outside and is also fully enclosed, so very dog friendly. There is a very good pub in the village and many more within 10 min by car. Emma has produced a book telling you about the history of the area, places to visit and good eateries. I can thoroughly recommend this cottage and booked my next year's stay before leaving.

Wonderful base to explore the area. Beautiful view from the back garden. Cottage had everything we needed. Phone and WiFi signal is patchy.Lovely walks from the cottage and we didn’t have to travel far to find places to explore. There were several lovely farm shops with local produce in the area. Emma was a lovely host and gave us lots of information about the local area and checked in with us regularly. We had a wonderful time!
