Cottage was very nice with lots of little extras from Christine, Lemon drizzle, Prosseco and fresh flowers. The food at the local pub, the Royal Oak was excellent and very reasonably priced. We took our dog and our dog was really well catered for by Christine too, with a dog bed, dog blanket and dog towels all provided, this is the first time in many years of holidaying that we have experienced this level of attention for our dogs. A really exceptional experience.

Super cottage, has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. The host Christine made sure we were ok after the men digging up the road accidently cut off the gas and therefore the heating for a short time. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful yet close to places to visit.Enjoyed a lovely visit to Sudbury Hall only a 15 min drive away.

We had a super week in October at Swallows Cottage. Christine was an great host, and had provided everything we could possibly want in the cottage on a week's stay. The cottage had a such a homely feel and what made it all the more special was the lovely garden and especially the field that our dog could run around in.A great base to explore the Derbyshire dales from.
