Guests say

Long Acres is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests feel welcomed by the helpful owners and enjoy the peacefulness and security of the property. The location is appreciated for its quietness, although some find it a bit remote. The bungalow's spaciousness and the added conservatory are frequently mentioned highlights.

Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the bungalow, describing it as spotless and very clean, which indicates a high standard of hygiene maintained by the owners.

The location is generally appreciated for its quietness and suitability for exploring Lincolnshire and North Norfolk. However, a few guests noted it as slightly remote and far from shops, which slightly affects the score.

Guests find the bungalow very comfortable, with special mentions of a high-standard bungalow and comfortable beds. One minor issue regarding the height of armchairs for older guests slightly impacts the score.

The property is well-equipped with everything needed for a stay, including a well-stocked kitchen and entertainment options. A few minor issues such as water pressure and the need for a decent mop are noted, but overall the facilities are highly regarded.

While guests express appreciation for the owners' helpfulness and the overall comfort of their stay, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

About this property

Old Leake 1 mile. This detached modern bungalow is a lovely Lincolnshire cottage, in a rural location on the edge of Old Leake village, known locally as Leake Commonside. The cottage is well equipped with modern furnishings; the well proportioned fitted kitchen with dining area has patio doors leading into a large conservatory with relaxing sofas, while the sitting room is cosy and the bedrooms comfortable. Another set of doors lead into the enclosed garden, which has lawn and shrubs on one side and a gravel patio area with table and chairs to the other side. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the coast and Lincolnshire Wolds, while there are market towns, working mills, antiques centres and much, much more within easy travelling distance. A lovely Old Leake cottage for year-round relaxation.

The peaceful South Lincolnshire village of Old Leake sits in attractive countryside and offers a shop, three pubs, a Post Office, sports field and a children's playground. The village nestles on the edge of the Fens and its bulb fields and windmill sails have earned it the name of the 'Holland of England' - Trader Windmill, a working mill now run by English Heritage, can be seen four miles away in Sibsey. The market town of Spilsby is nine miles away, and here visitors can find a good selection of shops, restaurants and inns. The wonderful coastline, Fens and rolling hills of the Wolds offer walking and cycling opportunities. Many attractions and interesting destinations can be accessed from Old Leake, including the former wwii airfield at East Kirkby which is now an Aviation Heritage centre; the bustling market town of Boston; the seaside resort of Skegness and the antique lover's paradise of Horncastle.

Well equipped kitchen and clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Really dark and peaceful at night as very little traffic. Pub is a 1 mile walk down a quiet road (except "rush" hour). Take a headtorch.

Once there just tapped it into satnav and our adventures started next day. The bungalow is spacious, comfortable and warm. Everything you need is provided. It was clean and tidy and we loved it. Just one big moan, and it's not just at Long Acres, but at quite a few of the holiday cottages we've stayed at, is the vacuum cleaners. Sorry John and Tracey, big isn't always best. I could be a bit biased but my wife and I love our Henry. Away from that we had a good time and the bungalow and area was great. Keep up your good work and standards, John and Tracey you may be seeing us again.

It was absolutely spotless clean, and warm and cosy on our arrival. The owners are very welcoming and always available for any help or questions that you may have. We would thoroughly recommend this bungalow
