The Retreat in Mablethorpe offers a peaceful location with easy access to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness, secure garden, and sea views. While some find it comfortable and well-equipped, others note a need for maintenance and deeper cleaning. The property's charm and potential shine through despite these concerns.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property very clean, while others reported issues with dirt, cobwebs, and leftover items from previous stays. The presence of dog waste and a smelly vacuum cleaner also detract from the overall cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and local facilities, making it an ideal spot for families and those looking to enjoy the seaside. The easy access to amenities and the peaceful setting contribute to a positive experience.
Comfort levels seem to vary among guests. While some found the property warm and comfortable with plenty of seating, others were dissatisfied with the lack of an upstairs bathroom and issues with heating and water pressure. The steep stairs were also a concern for some.
Facilities and maintenance received mixed feedback. Positive comments were made about the well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, several guests noted the need for repairs and updates, including broken tiles, a door off its hinges, and a lack of an upstairs toilet.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the owners that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness towards guests.

Lovely stay clean and very homely, problem with heating resolved straight away, beds comfy, Children loved being able to chill in their own rooms with TV, s few cracks on kitchen and bathroom floor but didn't affect our stay, close to amenities, next to beach, have booked already to return hopefully may have a upstairs loo as plenty of room for one, would recommend to anyone

We all had a really nice stay. The only thing that needs doing is a deep clean of the wet room, really bad black mould. But apart from that a lovely place to stay.
