Guests say

Boothby Cottage receives high praise for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities, making it ideal for families and dog owners seeking a peaceful retreat. Guests appreciate the secure garden, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches throughout. The location is tranquil and rural, with easy access to the coast, though amenities in the immediate village are limited. Many guests mention a warm welcome and helpful hosts. Minor issues such as occasional WiFi or heating hiccups and the closure of the local pub are noted but do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with guests describing the cottage as spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and tidy. Only one review mentions minor issues with some kitchenware, but overall, standards are exceptionally high.

The cottage is praised for its peaceful, rural setting and proximity to the coast and local attractions. However, the lack of amenities in the village and the closure of the local pub are noted as minor drawbacks.

Guests frequently mention the comfort of the beds, spaciousness, and homely atmosphere. The cottage is described as cosy, relaxing, and ideal for both families and those with mobility needs.

Facilities are highly rated, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, secure garden, EV charger, and thoughtful provisions for dogs. Occasional minor maintenance issues are quickly resolved by attentive hosts.

Many guests mention welcome packs and thoughtful touches such as groceries, toiletries, and seasonal decorations. While these gifts are appreciated, it should be noted that they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Cottage is well positioned in a rural, quiet area but in easy reach of the coast. It's well equipped, with a lovely little secure garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Everything you need is provided, from a coffee machine to a large fridge and freezer, outdoor gas BBQ to wood burner. A lovely welcome pack is provided on arrival, containing a bottle of wine, bottles of beer, water, cans of coke, bread and milk. The EV charger is a welcomed addition, would be good if this wasn't shared between two properties but if your neighbours are accommodating isn't a problem. Patrice (owner) is lovely and so are the cleaners. Checked in regularly throughout our stay to ensure everything was fine.Just be aware that there isn't anything in the village, even the pub has now closed. Didn't bother us but just be aware.

This was our second time at boothby cottage as we enjoyed ourselves so much the last time we visited . It is a lovely cottage with a nice garden area and fully equiped with anything you might need . It is a bit out of the way with no shops and the pub unfortunately is closed but burgh le marsh isnt too far away with some nice pubs and some shops .it is so peaceful and comfortable and the dog loves having the freedom in the garden as its fully fenced .i would definately recommend it as a relaxing holiday .

A comfortable well presented cottage. Only 2 of us so used upstairs main bedroom, hugh comfortable bed. Downstairs shower was excellent. Single bedroom rather dark.Kitchen v large and well equipped- unfortunately instructions for equipment was not readily available- needs to be in a folder. Some of the oven trays rusty. All frying pans + wok badly scratched. Welcome pack a nice surprise as was supply of kitchen roll, toilet rolls etc.Dogs also catered for- bowls, towels, poo bags, and throws for beds.Garden was secure - for our 2 dogs - unfortunately no evening sun. Smell and flies from domestic septic tank - which appears to be for all 3 properties and located at the bottom of the access stairs for Boothby Cottage & House rather spoiled the overall enjoyment of the property.
